Obama has threatened retaliation against Russia for election hacking. Hold elections again?
If elections were hacked why don't they hold elections again after beefing up the security?
There is in fact no claim that the elections themselves were hacked. Voting machines are no connected to the internet and hence cannot be "hacked" other than through a time-consuming, hands-on process of tampering with individual machines. Election officials have pointed out that it would have been virtually impossible for this to have occurred.
The ACTUAL claim (by media) is that TRUE information about Hillary and the DNC obtained by unknown hackers was released to the public. The media has reported that "anonymous sources" within the CIA believe the source of the TRUTHFUL information in the many hacked emails (made available by Wikileaks) was Russia. Not only has not proof been presented, all sources of this information have declined to release their names, choosing to remain anonymous.
It is generally believed that the leaks were an "inside job": that the DNC emails (as Assange has implied) were leaked by Seth Rich, who was murdered shortly thereafter. William Binney, former high-ranking NSA intelligence official, has stated that a “disgruntled U.S. intelligence worker” is likely behind the breach. (Notice that Binney is not an anonymous source.)
Re Hillary's emails, it is safe to assume that everyone in the world had them, due to an unsecured server. That would include every national government in the world, along with any high school kid anywhere with an interest in doing so.
Anthony Weiner's apparently full copies of Hillary's emails (including a large volume deleted correspondence that Hillary did not provide, despite a subpoena) came into the NYPD's possession when Weiner's laptop was seized in connection with an investigation of pedophilia charges, for which he is well known. Weiner's laptop, too, was an unsecured device and its contents probably known to everyone in the world with the slightest interest. Russian "hacking" or interference in the election is pure made-up hogwash. Obama continues to fail to provide proof. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-12-2 … d-election
The presumption is innocent until proven guilty.
Too date, there has only been hearsay, innuendo, and opinion on hacking the election. Do we really want to go to war, because president Obama and the democrats say so?
Look what happened when GW Bush played the war card without real proof.
And the US Intelligence hasn't changed since Shock and Awe.
We have the proof on how the DNC and Hillary fixed the democrat primary, and yet we did nothing. Isn't it the same transgression on our election process/
Hold elections again? That didn't happen when we found out how Bernie got hijacked by the DNC, so why can you skip that and suggest holding elections again for the presidency.
It is only a democrat, liberal and HRC contention that there was hacking, and that it was the hacking that lost her the election. Yet, that hacking didn't change the result of the two biggest electoral states CA, and NY. Hacking these two states would have a more direct change in the results.
How can there be no effect in these two states, and yet a claim that hacking was the reason HRC lost.
Does this red herring HACKING, explain why the democrats lost in both houses, and in the state governors?
IF IF IF, is the same as spreading untrue rumors, it is not proof. It is the main ingredient in defamation. And the only defense against a charge of defamation is Truth. And there is NO TRUTH in the claim of Russian Hacking.
As the old horror movie said, "The phone call is coming from inside the house".
As Putin told president Obama, Put up or Shut up.
'"If elections were hacked why don't they hold elections again after beefing up the security?"
To ask this question demonstrates that YOU were duped by fake news. The MSM headlines purposely implied that the Russians hacked the election when that never happened. Why the fake news? So people like you who don't read or investigate the whole story go off with the wrong impression. That's what lead to you asking the question because to believe they actually hacked the election it doesn't make sense not to hold the election again. that should have made you doubt that the elections were hacked by the Russians and ferret out the truth, but you like the public in general, are just too lazy to think for yourself.
Elections weren't hacked, only the DNC and Podesta's emails were leaked. Hillary's emails were never leaked and no one knows if they were actually hacked although FBI sources say with 99% accuracy that Hillary Clinton's server has been hacked by at least five foreign intelligence agencies, and that information had been taken from it.
More fake news, for your information. Trump never told the Russians to hack Hillary's email as the Democrats, even the President said. Just more lies from the mouth of Obama and his surrogates.
What Trump said is he hopes the Russians can find the 30 thousand emails Hillary deleted. https://youtu.be/KkdJKU4Ia-k?t=29
Those were emails she deleted years ago (while under subpoena to produce them - don't know how that is not illegal), so if she deleted them and scrubbed her server as alleged, there is no way the Russians could at Trumps bidding go and hack anything to get them. That just doesn't make sense. They would have had to have gotten them years ago, and all Trump said is to imply if the Russians already hacked them and can find that they do have them they should release them.
Watchout for the fake news, namely almost any story you find in the msm.

Of course. Let's keep voting until Hillary wins. Pretty stupid that he'll retaliate now but let ISIS run rampant for the last couple of years. My guess would be he wants a war? Most likely, nothing will happen.

Good points. If he can't beat ISIS, the Taliban, And Al Qaeda, what are his chances with Russia? Politicians are the root cause why America doesn't win wars, but yet finds news ones.
He could have beaten ISIS and the Taliban, but he chose not to. Big difference.
Cleanclover.......'Scuse me but my immediate, knee-jerk mental response to your question is: Barack-Hussein-Pansy-ass-Obama would not, could not, (nor do I believe for one second, he actually DID) threaten retaliation against Russia-Putin...If Moses floated down before him and slapped him upside the head with the original tablets of The Ten Commandments, tied the Serpent around his neck & lit him ablaze to pre-heat him for Hell.
This calm acceptance of reality usually saves me a whole lot of wasted discussion time.......Wishing you a Great Holiday!
DTMB...Notice my TRUTH was too much 4 the Obama/Hillary lovers 2 tolerate so they attacked the comment w/ a boatload of thumbs-down. Babies! Boo Hoo...Wa wa wa....
U got my thumbs up!....but careful, I didn't thumbs up"your"truth(as opposed to"their"truth). What you stated was THE truth, the Obama/Hillary lovers are in denial if they want to give THE truth negative feedback.Keep telling it like it is.
Listen, I'm a bleeding-heart liberal, who loathes Trump and everything he stands for with the heat of a thousand suns, and even I don't think that having another election is a good idea!
This is a done deal. Trump is our next President.
What should happen now is that the investigation into the hacking should continue, so that we find out who did it, and what they did. Not to overturn an election, but to ensure that all future elections are free from outside interference.
Another election isn't going to happen, and Obama isn't going to do ANYTHING about the Russians, at one point he threatened to cancel some Russian bank accounts, and he did..... After giving 2 weeks of warning.

Obama's Presidency is nearing it's end. What is his legacy, in your view? All opinions are welcome. I am interested to hear how different people view Barak Obama, as Commander-In-Chief.

Right now it looks like Putin/Trump are in agreement about the hacking. Can this issue be addressed without being partisan? Is the future of US democracy at stake? What are Trump's advisors telling him?

What is your level of confidence that in 2020 the elections won't be hacked again?Hacked voter rolls in 26 states, in 2016. Do you agree that this changed nothing in the Prez election fo 2016? Leaked emails, hacking, no paper trail for auditing. Do you think your state will be ready for 2020...

Do you think Russia hacked the United States election?Should there be an investigation into the CIA claims that Russia hacked the presidential election and affected the outcome? What do you think?

After all of the national intelligence agencies did investigations, they sat before Congress and said Russia did it! Now we are hearing that Ukraine did it! What evidence is there to support either. Is truth no longer truth? How do you determine what is true? If we don't know...
