What will the Democrats have to do to regain the presidency?

Democrats lost several seats this past election. What should they do to regain some political traction?

End the identity politics that merged ideology with demographics, such as conservative blacks weren't really blacks or conservative women were outright evil.
Stop portraying everyone who dissents and disagrees as stupid, evil, crazy. There are classic feminists like Germaine Greer who were no-platformed for pointing out that you can't simultaneously say 1/5 of women are raped and that we should let men in dresses into areas segregated for women's privacy and safety with impunity. This culminated with the Women's March scheduled for after Trump's inauguration having black feminists lecturing white feminists about their privilege and telling a pro-life liberal women's group to stay home. This is leading to Democrats eating their own. It is like the gay pride marches interrupted by BLM - infighting between victim groups helps no-one, but certainly not the Democrat party that has become a coalition of victim groups.

Turn back time and select Bernie Sanders as there Presidential candidate instead of Hillary Clinton.

Work for America's best interests as patriots instead of just "party faithfuls."

They'll have to hope Trump screws up, they'll have to keep Bernie Sanders healthy for four more years and they'll have to send the Clintons on a boat to somewhere.
