Woo hoo, children will finally get back to their family. Children will get to the children's hospital to have life saving treatments. It doesn't get any better then that.

This is how things are supposed to work. Laws are to be ruled on their constitutionality in the courts. My only real problem with any of this is that laws are to be made by congress and enforced by the executive. Wither it was Pres. Obama or current Pres. Trump the executive is not to pass laws. Does anyone else remember how people flipped out when Pres. Obama started to use executive orders to create laws. If Pres. Trump wanted this ban it should be done through the system so it can be vetted and as constitutional as any ban that this can be. It will be interesting if the Supreme Court will uphold these rulings. It may depend on when it goes to the court before or after Pres. Trump adds to the court. Also if the President doesn’t just ignore any ruling by the courts (it has happened in the past).

Yes, thank you for answering. The whole system is supposed to be passed on a process. He clearly didn't think this through far enough. Hopeful he will see his error. There really is children whose lives depend on it.

An executive order is not a law. It's an order to enforce laws that already exist. That's why it doesn't need to be approved, only reviewed for conflict with the constitution.

      DR (hello)
That is my point the EO was not meant to be a law. There is no law (AFAIK) banning people from the countries.

He is doing just what he said he would do. So, no one should be surprised (except for a politician keeping a promise)

Thank you for commenting. It's nice to others view and have discussion.
I am hoping the children who need special medical help can now get there before anything changes.

Examine the judge's ruling.  It is a temporary stay in executing the ban, while the constitutionality of the ban is determined.  It is a window of opportunity that could be closed.  The scramble is on.  Nominee Gosuch should be asked for his opinion to see what might come of that.

Gosuch will -  as soon as he pops his dislocated shoulder back in after Trump's yank & pull 'handshake'

Yes, It means the system works even when a crazy dude in charge.

#1 The EO was in violation of a long standing EO that says EO's must have a OMB report. There was no OMB report.

    #2 from http://www.forbes.com/sites/danielfishe … abc02c3c9b
Ferguson said:  "But there's never been an order like this one," he said, which is "utterly divorced" from the stated purpose of enhancing national security. There are 500,000 lawful residents in the U.S. from the seven targeted countries, he said, and the Trump administration repeatedly changed its mind about whether they should be included in the travel ban.

"Either those people are an enormous threat to our security or are not," Ferguson said. "And (Trump administration officials) changed their minds about that five times since Friday."

Trump is a total and complete puppet of people who have zero idea what they are doing. Trump is just a wrist with a pen and does what he is told because he couldn't care less about anything or anybody other that himself.  Sad.

Donald Trump Reportedly Signed Executive Order Without Knowing Exactly What It Did  = Trump doesn't read the EO's?
