Is anyone else getting sick of the federal political situation taking center stage in everything?
I consider myself an educated voter and willing to take action on issues for which I care deeply whether they affect me personally or are simply for the common good of others. But it seems these days you can't turn on the radio, open a paper, or check any internet site without tripping over words like "Russia", "leaks," "authoritarian," and "treason."
Yes, as a matter of fact we were just talking about that. I don't mind and do like staying informed as to what our government is doing, but they don't have to shove it down our throats 24/7. And it would be nice to have less opinion and guessing and real facts instead.
It's not going to stop. It's Trump's stock in trade. It's how he got elected. He only stays in the spotlight if he is constantly acting out. It's what he wants more than anything.
The news media needs to get better at separating the wheat from the chaff in their coverage. But that can't be easy when what used to be presidential is now a three-ring- circus.

How can the U.S. heal its political divides? We're increasingly in a tribal mentality of red vs. blue. As a libertarian, I'm concerned that people are not able to get along or do what's best for the country anymore; they want two dramatically opposed visions for the future of the country and do not...
