The exact opposite of what I just read on your page. I couldn't disagree with every single thing you said, more.
Perhaps, they are vertical thinkers. That would mean a liberal is a lateral thinker.
No such thing. A "Politically" conservative person is someone who comprehends the utter incompetence of government in managing or handling........anything, and thence resists letting government grab onto and screw up more stuff.
A politically liberal person avoids cognitive function by adopting generals ideas and beliefs that fit the image they wish to project. They are hateful, quick to repress and violent because they have no argument for their beliefs. One might define liberalism as a common pathology for unintelligent people who think they are intelligent. This explains their inability to consider something on merit and their proclivity for intolerance and violence.
Liberals look at change as good, no matter what.
Conservatives are biased toward conserving. Conservatives look at the way things are and say we don't need to change unless it is absolutely necessary, and then only what needs to be. It is pragmatic, practical, controlled. This is why conservative changes tend to last - it is like a Six Sigma project, tested incremental changes and then checked to make sure it works.
Liberals often say "let's burn it all down and assume we'll put something better in its place". The harm caused by destroying institutions and the lack of something similar while rebuilding is irrelevant to liberals. That others may not want to destroy an institution and reform it instead doesn't matter to them.
Liberals say "let's act based on how this feels, what feels good is good". Conservatives judge based not on the intent but on the results. Who are these policies hurting? How does this impact broader society? What protections are we losing? What is lost if we change based on your feelings?
Liberals tend to see others' rules as merely oppression. They ignore the fact that these rules tend to be the boundaries everyone negotiated for the common good.
They also ignore the fact that when they want to lay down new rules - which are often ever-changing based on the prevailing feelings - you create chaos in which people can and do get hurt. Liberal bullies have been increasingly doing this physically from literal attacks on college professors and speakers to people on the street for not virtue signalling hard enough.
Conservatives want to protect the freedoms we have because they remember the waves of change that led to mass violence from the French Revolution to Russian Communist revolution and beyond. Go slow to avoid harm, and don't change because the violent ideologues said to. But that just looks like evil oppression and "hate" to people saying let's have a violent revolution in the name of love.

My unbiased description is this: liberals turn to government to solve their problems. Conservatives turn to business to solve their problems.

I have always wondered what makes progressives (liberals if you like) different from conservatives. When both are witness to the same events, yet each group has a different take on what is or what should be done. This is a lot like the gold or blue dress controversy of a couple of months ago. Who...

Hey, look, another right-wing conservative policy goes down in flames. What's amazing is that Utah is only the 19th state to ban such anti-science crap. Let's be clear, gay conversation therapy doesn't work and has never worked because you can't change somebody's God-given sexuality.But...

I read an interesting article this morning. It is from Scientific American. It boils down to one 'belief' separating Conservatives from Liberals. It is as quoted; "We find instead that the main difference between the left and right is the belief that the world is inherently hierarchical....
