I want to use this forum to expand on one of John McCain’s campaign promise of 2008.
He said he would “name names” if elected president.
As we know, he failed to win the election and went back into the Senate and kept his mouth closed.

To me, our democracy has been corrupted by these powerful men behind the scenes. They use their power and money and influence to sway public policies not be benefit all but to advance their own agenda and wealth and give capitalism a bad name. Crony capitalist is what I call them.
They tend to stay anonymous and use others to do their bidding. Including our elected officials, and lobbyists and shadow groups...which they contribute money to. They violate our laws with impunity. Justice is not served when some are able to get away with crimes where normal citizens cannot.

    Who are these people?

I will start by naming some names that I have come across...

    George Soros
    Eric Schmitt - Google
    Bill Gates - Microsoft
    Mark Zuckerberg - Facebook
    Henry Kissinger

I ask others to chime in and name names...
What about it, Senator John McCain? Now are you free to speak your mind or forever hold your peace...

I have to agree with your perspective. Although being rich in itself is not a crime, using wealth to subvert the democratic process and corrupt our elected representatives to accede to the wishes of a privilege few to detriment of the many should be a crime. The rich man can by a bigger box of corn flakes than can I. I will acknowledge their rights only to this extent.

By the way the abuse of power and money are not only found from advocates of the Left, that Adelman fellow and the Koch Brothers are culprits from the other side, just to touch the tip of that iceberg.

Sorry, but a witch hunt for people claiming "They violate our laws with impunity" without providing supporting evidence is not something I would care to participate in.  Being rich is not a crime, legally or morally, and doesn't warrant being tarred and feathered because I (or you) don't like them.

Let me qualify this a bit. Yes, being rich and trying to influence government policy is not a crime. If I was in that position, I would do the same. The difference is that policies should apply equally to one and all.
Wha is criminal about some is that they use their money and influence to get special priviledges such as tax breaks for their industry or their specific company...at the expense of the rest of us.

Another point is when they buy off politicians with big donations and expect them to vote a certain way...that is against the law.

One last way crony capitalist use government is to stifle competition and protect their company from others trying to get into the same business. That is how monopolies are formed.
