Harley Davidson moves to Europe because of Trump's trade war.

   With losses of a projected 35-40 million for the rest of this year, and 90-100 million next year because of the 31%  tariffs placed on their motorcycles, HD decide to simply move their production to Europe.  There goes another American business affected by the retroactive tariffs from other countries. 
   
   
   Unfortunately, American farmers can't do the same...

      Well, Randy, in regards to the economy, he said that he going to "fix it".

         Cred, HD had no choice as the tariff added around $2300 to the price of the cycles which prevents them from being competitive with the other brands. European sales make up about 15% of HD's total sales.
         
         
         But then, if Spanky's wrong, he can always file for another bankruptcy. It seemed to work well for him before.

                     I never could abide his personae, Castle. He represents all that's wrong in the US, from his racist behavior, to his constant need to lie and exaggerate. I've always pitied such an individual, no matter how successful they were.  But then, some people obviously envy him and follow his example as to his demeanor.

      Harley -Davidson , in years past has overpriced their fairly unreliable , over  costed  ,overpriced , unroadworthy American made product right into bank receivership or bankruptcy reorganization several times , haven't kept up with technology ,  quality , or  marketing . What's not to understand about a failed product , a high priced antique riding mower ?

         Wasn't Harley Davidson previously in the news for taking the tax cut, enriching top managers while closing a factory? Hadn't they previously announced plans to move to Taiwan, without mention of being tied to tariffs?
         
         Their history doesn't allow me to believe their stated reasoning. Sounds fake and PR in nature.

      Trump didn't wait long:
      
      "A Harley-Davidson should never be built in another country-never! Their employees and customers are already very angry at them. If they move, watch, it will be the beginning of the end - they surrendered, they quit! The Aura will be gone and they will be taxed like never before!"
      
      Free market capitalism allows companies to go where they can profit and survive.
      
      Threatening a company for moving is not capitalistic.

      Well , you don't ride a motor- bike so you might not know their fiery economic history ? Put it this way , Harley- Davidson's economic record is much like a Nancy Pelosi of the motorcycle world .

      HD had representatives at the WH on two occasions and HD riders on another when he was touting his tax cuts. He was using HD as an example of how the cuts would benefit businesses like HD.
      
      
      Unless HD received a huge tax cut, the company stands to lose 35-40 million dollars for the rest of this year.

      And Spanky, as expected, has already tweeted about his surprise at HD for raising a white flag.

      MORE lost jobs under Trump: Mr. Trump's insane unnecessary tariffs which of course please Vladimir Putin, will add a minimum of $2,300 to the cost of each Harley Davidson, a motorcycle which many would consider a luxury item: Wait until senior citizens and the working class in Red States which are now flipping to blue at light speed, go to the general merchandise store to buy a toaster, or a stove, or a refrigerator or even a car: The sticker shock will be substantial only to be matched by Bozo Trump's nose bleed gas prices:
