This is successful gun control , this is effective crime control ?  Chicago  the democratic mafia run , political capital of the US and all of it's activism and legislative brilliance ?
21 human beings shot in 14 hours ?

How did this happen with no guns ?

From what I've read Chicago has been uniquely violent since the hey day of prohibition. Sure, the local government has failed miserably. Yes, they have excessive violence which proves measures have not worked. But, I am not certain their failures can necessarily be used to prove anything nationally.

I do wonder at the philosophy that violent criminals with guns will pay any attention to gun control measures. All anti gun measures would do is further endanger law abiding citizens.

It proves that no one cares when the poor kids shoot each other.  It proves that such violence is far more common, and destructive, than the school shootings we wring our hands over (perhaps because we can see those murders happening in our own neighborhood?).

But in reference to gun controls in general it is but one small bit of data in a sea of it.

"I do wonder at the philosophy that violent criminals with guns will pay any attention to gun control measures."

Makes one wonder at the actual goal of gun control advocates, doesn't it?

It doesn't make me wonder ! Not when I observe the crime rates in some of the most violent regions of inner city America , Why ?  Because these most violent regions of the country are also the most gun restricted .
    Violence in America -

-Who cares about the age of perpetrators of violence
-Who cares about the racial /ethnic aspects of violence
-Who cares about the loss of liberties of law abiding people
-Who cares about Media bias and agenda
-Who cares about the political pollution of this issue
-Who cares about the immigration of violent crime
-Divorce the law abiding from the illegal violence
WE can then begin to talk about solutions.
