"Tax the rich, feed the poor,  'til there are no rich no more ..". Then what?????

I wish Bernie Sanders could join in here.

There will NEVER be human/woman governing other human/woman without some tyranny. The way human/woman/ raise their children is tyranny. That is why when man lived environmentally girls left their child in an earthen nest until it began to walk and follow her and once a girl conceived the boy had nothing more to do with it. After the child nursed for 12 years the then adolescent became an individual nomad. It is from that setting that the Adam in the garden is derived for producing civilization and why Genesis 2:24 reads "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Thus, socialism and tyranny are for the most parts the same.

There will never be a human governing other humans without some sort of tyranny. (The US constitution was designed to cut down on this.)

The way humans raise their children is tyranny.  When humans lived environmentally, the mothers left their children in earthen (under ground?) nests until they began to walk (after they hatched?) and follow her. (Like baby dinosaurs?)

Once a mother conceived a boy, it had nothing more to do with it. (?)

After the child (the girl?) nursed for 12 years, the adolescent (teen-aged girl?) became an individual nomad. (She wandered around alone?)

It is from that setting that the human in the garden (of Eden?) is derived for producing civilization.

Genesis 2:24 reads "Therefore shall a man leave God and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh."

Thus, socialism and tyranny are, for the most part, the same.

I am thrown by the word THUS.

        Can you elucidate?

Socialism leads to Communism. Is that okay?

    Communism vs Democracy

This debate has always been a no-brainer.
    Today, not so much.
    HOW COME?

    and what about Fascism?
"...For Fascism, the growth of empire, that is to say the expansion of the nation, is an essential manifestation of vitality, and its opposite a sign of decadence. Peoples which are rising, or rising again after a period of decadence, are always imperialist; and renunciation is a sign of decay and of death. Fascism is the doctrine best adapted to represent the tendencies and the aspirations of a people, like the people of Italy, who are rising again after many centuries of abasement and foreign servitude. But empire demands discipline, the coordination of all forces and a deeply felt sense of duty and sacrifice: this fact explains many aspects of the practical working of the regime, the character of many forces in the State, and the necessarily severe measures which must be taken against those who would oppose this spontaneous and inevitable movement of Italy in the twentieth century, and would oppose it by recalling the outworn ideology of the nineteenth century - repudiated wheresoever there has been the courage to undertake great experiments of social and political transformation; for never before has the nation stood more in need of authority, of direction and order. If every age has its own characteristic doctrine, there are a thousand signs which point to Fascism as the characteristic doctrine of our time. For if a doctrine must be a living thing, this is proved by the fact that Fascism has created a living faith; and that this faith is very powerful in the minds of men is demonstrated by those who have suffered and died for it."

maybe the youth in America are attracted to this ideal,  of which Mussolini wrote: (see link above,)

"... never before has the nation stood more in need of authority, of direction and ORDER."

    -  are they reacting to too MUCH freedom?

Kathryn , All of the above the direct result of a bias in teaching your children .   Since the sixties and newer generations of teachers / professors academia has infiltrated the minds of the brainless to the callings of a some hybrid socialism from our democracy .  Call it " Entitlement Socialism"  for want of a better term .   Bottom line ,   you can have more from government if you just demand totally everything , you will get most of that .

Always , always vote for more government , it becomes the safety net , the want list , the all encompassing  god of this planet , make no mistake - that is the new American , this is the plan and this is happening before your very eyes .   To these strategists , there is nothing one cannot possess at the cost of all for the benefit of all .
And forget about work ethics ,  we will provide .

This new "entitlement socialist " is born of the old democrat , the ever elusive "moderate " , the" independent" waiting in the wings for the rewards .   What rewards you ask ,  The rewards for just being present , for being born .

The mid term numbers will tell all ! Which direction do we swing ?

We are very easily led away from our natural urges toward survival and achieving our wants and needs by bad influences coming from mothers fathers, teachers and society in general.

We are very easily influenced by the forces in charge of us as children.
We do not have instincts. We have powers of absorption. If we absorb harmful impressions when young, our motivations go counterclockwise, rather than clockwise, so to speak.

Look at the puppy, full of life and potential. If allowed to grow up with its mother in nature, it would become incredibly adept at surviving in the wild.

What does the average house dog do?
Lay there on the couch with nothing to do  ... (well, he is waiting for food or a walk on the leash.)

He is the epitome of indolence.

Some, out of boredom, will bark, bark, bark, tear up the back yard or rip apart the house:
    counterclockwise, style.

counterclockwise style: Some games are exceptionally violent.
and you don't think these have an influence on the psyche of the youth?
Especially if the poor kid has been on pharmaceuticals like Adderall since he was a toddler.
    AAUGH, we are stupid.

Hint: the indigenous did not have schools/desks/books. The child followed the adults and learned, "on the job."

They were not forced. There were no grades, rewards or punishments ...
and the tribes/tribal life endured for eons of time upon this continent.

    H o w ?

Meanwhile, we are literally fizzling out.
