Have you noticed Mitch McConnel has been noticeably absent recently despite the shutdown of the government?  Since the House passed a bill to reopen it with identical wording from a bill the senate had already passed, you'd think Mitch would rapidly bring it to the floor for a vote. But nooooooo, he won't allow the senators to even vote on it.

More than likely, those from the right don't want to take a stand against Trump, nor let their constituents know they voted to keep the govt closed. Is he a piece of work? Or a piece of something else?  Do tell!

      Yep.

Mitch and the Republicans could reopen the government by voting for the exact same bill previously approved in the Senate. What has changed?  They are legitimizing Trump's temper tantrum.

Mitch is "such an obvious political animal." He must be held in great disdain, eh?  ;-)

Randy he's a Bozo Trump accomplice who might not escape prison and will absolutely be GONE, Voted OUT in 2020, but try not to bother "Mutt" I mean Mitch, he's too busy driving his deeply impoverished state of Kentucky into the dirt and now he's doing it on a national level as senate leader with his insane Corporate Welfare Tax Cut Scam which made the filthy rich even richer and of course the poor poorer, just like those poor Kentucky Children:

"Poverty still darkens lives of Kentucky kids"

Now several GOP senators are breaking with McConnell and Trump with more to come next week when the courts run out of money, people don't get their early tax refunds, the airports shut down because the TSA employees continue to not show for work, and people start raising hell about their pay.

Mitch will have to do some heavy lifting to avoid having his GOP cronies catch hell from their constituents.
