What steps need to be done in order for the middle class to thrive, instead of struggling in terms of health care insurance, housing, & jobs, even careers? Many middle class are uninsured because they are priced out of healthcare. They have to pay escalating rents. Some are downsized from their jobs. They also pay disproportionate taxes to their social class. There are others whose jobs were eliminated. How can the middle class be helped to succeed?
Eliminate the entitlement philosophy and plans except for those that truly need it.
What is needed is to return the tax structure to the time before Reagan gifted the first massive tax credit to the wealthy. Since then Citizen's United has harnessed the greed of the ultra wealthy and used it as a piston to pound down the middle class. Why can't we build the libraries, the highways, the education systems that were flourishing prior to Reagan. Check it out.
Why? Because the wealthy have more than you do and you want it? What gives you the ethical right to take what they have earned and built?
But in any case the wealthy actually paid less in taxes back then than they do now. The tax rate was astronomical, beyond anything reasonable, but no one paid it. Too many deductions and evasive actions - something we will always see when we gouge the golden goose too far.
