Will humankind ever progress beyond tribalism in terms of ethnocentricism, racism, sexism, classism, & other forms of prejudice?  Yes?  No?  State your argument.

No.  Mankind is locked in its sin nature.  We naturally have an attitude that embraces all kinds of foul things.  Not every person embraces exactly the same things, so that we see some that are racist, some are sexist, some hate women, some hate men.  It's a full spectrum.

It won't change.  It's up to each to deal with their nature.

probably not, does not make it right though.
Homo Sapiens classifies. We label and tend to think in groups. The importance of groups may differ. For some it´s more importand if you are a christian or an atheist. for others it´s more important what nationality you have, or what skin colour or sex preference. But classify we do.
People with power, people without power
      poor people, rich people
      teenagers, pensioners
we make thousands of classifications. To use these labels and combine them with verbs, generalize is a stupid and dangerous thing.
      Blacks are lazy,
      Mexicans are drug traders
      Rich people are egoistic
      Poor people are stupid
      Chinese people are conman
Woman with red skirts are prostitutes
Man with white t-shirts are guy
      etc.etc.
These images are strongly promoted in Hollywood though.
Ever noticed how the bad guy is most of the time black, Asian, Mexican or from an other minority group. And he smokes nowadays. If someone smokes in a movie you know he will be killed.
These Hollywood stereotypes are highly viral with bad consequences.
