Is this the message of the Left/Democrats?

    Why?

Maybe they need to become a little MORE self-oriented ...

    AND FIX THEMSELVES!

From my vantage point I see that as the mindset of all high people in government that begins with the POTUS down through Congress, all department heads including the CIA and FBI. That's according to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZxv-0LxG_A which is how Trump got into office although I have seen it for years. In it he is calling the entire governing system a "swamp" of political corruption caused by "Self-Benefits = greed".

Well, I am talking about self-benefit. not "Self-benefits." There are laws and there are boundaries. Freedom within boundaries is how to live. Greed is excessive and unjust taking.  Working toward self-benefit and interest is our right. Socialism takes away that right.

I concur completely, KLH, the problem with most people we don't recognize the two sides of anything, in this case, what will benefit every individual (including every type of beings on and including the earth) equally. Only when we answer that question in the 360 degrees of all directions can we know our greatest self-benefit because before we became human we had been all of the lesser entities of earth.

TheNature0Boy: You say, in regards to this issue, (the benefits of pursuing self-interest), we need to know
                           w h a t
            benefits every person equally.

Can you tell us what "both sides" of the issue are? and what benefits every person equally?

I would say our rights as given by God and protected by the US Constitution apply to "both sides" of the issue.

You say that before becoming human, "... we had been all of the lesser entities of earth."

How do you know we had been "the lesser" ... or what do you mean?

The rights given man at birth are to use only what one needs when needed while living environmentally, that right is also a provision in the constitution, That benefits the earth and everything on it.

Because human are conditioned to be "human-made stuff depending people", especially money which has no value except to control others to get their desired "stuff", the means of getting money and stuff degrades human, the earth and everything hereon.

The allowance for both of those are in the US Constitution, "the defense of the nation" in the preamble is the first place. To defend the nation is to protect the "land and environment with all its living entities". The first amendment's "no laws shall be made respecting the establishment of religion" phrase, since religion is supposed to get people back into living environmentally, protects the people who refuses money and stuff to live environmentally.

The laws of karma or "reaping and sowing" imply everything anyone do to any other living entity - the earth and everything hereon are living - shall be done unto them exactly the same way. That means the insects, rodents, animals, plants and everything else we intentionally or accidentally injury we were prior to becoming human. Look at Genesis 1 where a small version of evolution is provided which suggests before becoming human that evolves into man (like a tadpole being "born again" into a frog) we had been them all. We can see it once we realize existence has always existed.

Every so-called religion has evolution engraved in it if it teaches karma and reincarnation. Reincarnation concepts are all over the bible, it is because most westerners don't believe in it is why bible teachers don't include it in their message.

Well, it's been that way historically since this nation was founded. In the movie Li'l Abner, there was a character named General Bullmoose, and a most fitting song about him which went:  "What's good for General Bullmoose is good for the U.S.A. That still seems to be the prevailing attitude. I don't think you can lay that one off on the Democrats because they don't have a monopoly on it.

    Greed is wanting free college.
Greed is wanting free healthcare insurance
Greed is wanting equal pay for unequal work
Greed is taking what one has not earned.
Greed is taking more than one has earned.

What is the opposite of greed?
Thankfulness of opportunity to earn what one WANTS in life.
