Brie Larson ruined Marvel

I've been a Marvel fan for a while and was looking forward to seeing Captain Marvel because she's supposed to be the most powerful super hero in the franchise. I also thought that the actress was going to be inspiring to my children because she was working out four and a half hours a day to get some shredded abs and stuff.
But I keep hearing her bashing on 40 year old white dudes, and acting like a virtue signaling, liberal D bag.
She talks about breaking some glass ceiling for female superheros, guess she's never heard of Gal Gadot, or Linda Carter.
News flash for Brie, you're a hyper privileged, rich, white woman, and now you have a seven movie contract with Marvel.

I thought it was lame when Batman was lecturing Aquaman about climate change in the Justice League, now we get to hear Captain White Girl complain about lack of representation of (fill in the blank) for the next ten years.

... who would you rather have played the role?

I think a lot of the people who play marvel characters are virtually unknown people, it just takes someone with some talent.

If you saw Endgame, I think it shows painfully that she is just some poorly written, snarky character with ultimate power who just shows up out of nowhere and saves the day.

Then ANT-MAN should be the ultimate hero. Or an ant itself in reality.

They just came out with a new extended scene from Captain Marvel where she sticks it to some creepy dude by crushing his hand and stealing his bike. nice way to stick it ti a bully by becoming one.

Aw, does that bother your little man fee-fees?

No male superhero has ever used a superpower on a bully? You're joking, right?

Of course they have, at least the well written ones wouldn't use ultimate power in such a way unless it was absolutely necessary. Even Ronin wouldn't fight Drax until he became too much of a nuisance. Banner was afraid to fight because he knew he would win. Same thing with Superman, Wonder Woman, and all the other crappy DC characters.

Point is, with great power comes great responsibility, and every time the good guy used his or her power for personal gain, they were viewed as the bad guy until they made amends for an obvious character flaw.

Try taking the social justice blinders off for a minute and look at the actual story.

I don't disagree with most of what you say, but it has zero to do with feminism.

Sure it does. Woman gets to put a creepy aggressive man in his place. They even threw in the "give me a smile" narrative. Because white guys can't say that anymore. I'm surprised the dude didn't throw his leg up on the park bench in the Captain Morgan stance.

She was untitled to steal his bike, in the name of justice.

Yep, you are triggered.  Can't help you if it bothers you that an obnoxious guy was put in his place by a woman and you're elevating it to represent the evils of feminism.  Looking to be offended is supposed to be what whiny liberals do, but thank you for demonstrating it isn't.  LOL

Actually I'm not offended, I just think it's stupid. If I were truly offended in the liberal sense, I'd be protesting, demonstrating, setting stuff on fire, smashing windows, and trying to write a law to have it banned.

Yeah, People need to learn that just because they don't like something doesn't mean it has to be outlawed.

Just like that stupid, mystical, escapist, Lord of the rings. I didn't want it banned, we don't need government intervention, I just don't want to see parts two and three.
