AOC has been on the job as a freshman Congresswomen for 7 months. It is clear for me she has no intention of learning the ropes and doing her diligence to be come a leader and lawmaker. She is going up against the leader of her own party, Nancy Pelosi with impunity. Not that Nancy doesn’t deserve some of the criticism. However, AOC has shown she is incapable of govern.
The question is, how should our country deal with her? And others like her who is increasingly being voted in? By an out of touch electorate...
She has demonstrated that she knows very little of our laws, our Constitution and how our government works...
If someone like her is elected to office, what do we do?

As Trump already said, send her back to wherever she was born.

      Probably Cuba or North Korea.

Wow, replace AOC with Trump and you have a much more true statement. But promisem is right, send her back to North Korea. She looks Korean.

Be serious. My question here is no joke. How can we have a member of Congress so clueless?

How can we have a POTUS so clueless is the real question, Jack? Doesn't he realize he appears more racist than ever? Or does he want that for his base?

Truthfully, she doesn't matter. She is one lone and inexperienced member of Congress who has a temporary spotlight.

The big guns will squash her soon.

"It is clear for me she has no intention of learning the ropes and doing her diligence to become a leader and lawmaker. "

Hi jackclee, I heard her explain that in a press interview clip today.

Speaking for the new freshman class of Representatives she said they were elected to change the current political situation in Congress and had no intention of " learning the ropes and doing her diligence to become a leader and lawmaker" because it was their intention to change the process to be more representative of the people and not just political interests.

Or something like that. It does explain the actions of the four freshmen currently in the spotlight.

ps. Our country doesn't have to deal with her, her colleagues and constituents do. And we shouldn't do anything when someone "like her" is elected to office; every constituency has every Right to choose their own representatives.

Having read all the comments, I feel your response, GA, is the best, or at least I feel the most affinity with it. The power of the vote is the key, so is being informed with all aspects of an issue. Thank you for your thoughts.

She was voted in. She is doing a good job at insuring she will be voted out.  I hope she does not have a long lease.  When interviewed she does not appear to understand questions. She just is loud and swings her arms around and says little.

She's a pretty girl who used feminine wiles to get elected. Her feminine wiles are being exposed and her two faced insincerity is coming out daily.

Let's wait and see what the constituencies of the mean girls squad do come there time for re-election.

What's the old saying? You can fool some of the people some of the time? AOC, like her cohorts, will lose her moment in the spotlight in short order.

Sure, don't address her ideas. Let's attack her sex and her appearance.

What ideas? Does she have any or is she parroting what her chief of staff wants her to say?

Sorry you think I'm attacking her sex and appearance but she uses both to gain advantage. It isn't unfair of me to point that out.

I'd agree with you, up until the point she snagged a rich husband. See isn't an elected official, though.

Neither is Ivanka, but that doesn't keep her from acting like it....

"Be best." Melania needs to learn to speak English properly...  tongue

Needs to learn to speak English properly,  you say?

That comment sounds textbook liberal racist.

See, this hits home with me.

I have relatives who can speak English, but are more comfortable speaking Ukrainian.  They have an accent, they speak English every day in the workplace and when shopping and speaking with neighbors.

They will NEVER lose their accent.  I started speaking English at a young, so I don't have such an accent.

I feel for our First Lady and her struggle to pronounce English like everyone else.

I will say, if anyone on HB who was born and raised in the United States tried to learn another language like Ukrainian, or even Spanish, you would have a very thick accent in that language.  With the first sentence you speak people would be able to tell you are not a native speaker.

So, I don't consider it racist to say a native of Slovenia or the Ukraine or any other country does not speak English well.  I consider it just plain ignorant.

I say try learning to speak another language and then we'll talk.

You are correct. When the left makes a racist comment, no problem from anyone on the left.

Racism is acceptable to the left if you are left. Gotcha. This also goes for sexual harassment,  pedophilia,  etc.

I believe the only realistic thing that can be done with AOC is to hope she is voted out of office during the next election cycle.  She is not doing well in polling.

I think what to do with her currently is a question for the members of the Democratic party.  She is hurting the Democrat party in many different ways.
