So, instead of chasing after people climbing fences and stirring up racist attitudes and feelings, how about going after the Koch brothers who had almost 700 undocumented workers in their employ at some chicken processing plant?

One of the reasons that I loathe the Right and its hypocrisy. Trump and all of his wealthy friends divert attention from those that hire the undocumented, because, after all, he does not want to ruffle the feathers of his constituents. Nothing like cheap and exploitable labor.

The Kochs' are pigs in a blanket....

Rightwingers, I can see right through your designs.....

Here is a little background if you please...

Hi Cred, I followed your link, and then a couple more, and I found this blurb:

"A senior immigration official with knowledge of the investigation told CNN that ICE used confidential informants employed at several of the raided food processing plants to identify managers or supervisors who knew they were hiring undocumented workers. In some cases, immigration enforcement received audio and video recordings."

I agree with you, at a minimum those managers and supervisors should be charged/fined. Along with anyone else up the food chain that ordered or facilitated the illegal hirings.

      Now here's one for you, #Greenshirtguy: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/201 … kg-vpx.cnn

I see that in a thread 4 years ago, that you an issue with those 2.

It is just that with the pressure over this immigration issue, the very people that are hard line about immigrants and illegal entry have no problems flouting the law when it is to their advantage.

The Kochs will deny any knowledge about the illegals but, I say, hold them accountable, because they should have known.

Hmm . . .  I thought I was agreeing with you, now I am not so sure that is how you read it.

I saw a video of a raid.  I agree.  Those hiring illegals should be treated the same.

Take their money,  their credit cards,  their phones,  and put them on the bus with the workers.

I am glad that we can see eye to eye on this one.

I'll go further; fine the business.  Heavily, as in a years profit.  And successive violations get heavier and heavier fines.  Third strike auction off all assets.  Of course that requires that the verify system actually be made to work and be dependable.

Though I will say that companies with multiple locations (and multiple hiring managers) should get a break somehow reflecting the difficulty of managing 100 different locations/managers.

Amazing we all agree on this. Interesting that Congress can't get it together. Not surprising, I guess.

In this case, there needs to be an investigation to see why illegals we're hired. Was it rogue middle management or was it a directive from on high? Every company that hires illegals should be investigated to see how it happens.

WE all agree, but money talks much, much louder to legislators.  We will not see anything like punitive fines to business as a part of immigration reform.  Or as part of anything else, for that matter.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could focus on what we agree on instead of what we disagree on? Oh well. I guess conflict makes for the best drama.

Yep, sock it to them.  Companies, any companies, that hire illegals need to be nailed to the wall.

Not a disparaging word from any of you. So, can I send the Koch brothers to the gallows now?
