This is not related to the Ukraine story, but the findings of another Inspector General, this time in the State Department.
A report published in August by the IG found:
"...disrespectful and hostile treatment of employees, accusations against and harassment of career employees premised on claims that they were “disloyal” based on their perceived political views, and retaliation associated with conflicts of interest."
The IG also also notes:
"...several career employees reported that throughout her tenure at the Department, [Senior Advisor] Ms. Stull referred to them or to other career employees as “Obama holdovers,” “traitors,” or “disloyal.”"
Ms. Stull was a political appointee. The IG also reported:
"Stull made positive comments about some specific career employees because they reportedly made contributions to Republican candidates".
The IG also criticizes Assistant Secretary Kevin Moley (also a political appointee) for retaliating against staff who complained about Stull's actions:
"[i]The circumstances of Assistant Secretary Moley’s removal of the [Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary] suggests that he undertook a personnel action based on non-merit factors, namely, her articulation of concerns about Ms. Stull’s conduct..."
The IG recommended a corrective action plan, and other actions including "disciplinary action". Mari Stull left the Department in January. No disciplinary action against Moley has been publicly reported as far as I can see.
Is being a Trump supporter now a requirement for working in government? How is victimizing career staffers based on their political affiliation in any way acceptable?

I take it back, it is now is related to Ukrainegate.
"Congress to get briefing on alleged retaliation against U.S. diplomats
The U.S. State Department inspector general plans to brief congressional committees on Wednesday about recent instances of potential political retaliation by agency leaders against career officials over Ukraine, two sources familiar with matter said.
The two sources familiar with the matter, who spoke on condition of anonymity, did not provide details about what the potential retaliation may have involved".
Note, this is the same Inspector General wrote the report that identified retaliation against staffers back in August.

Interesting how the Intel Community changed the requirements for a whistleblower complaint to no longer need to have firsthand knowledge to make a complaint in August of 2019. In September 2019, a whistleblower complaint based on second-hand information is filed against President Donald...

First Benghazi used to discredit Clinton, now the GOP in Congress using the Strzok text messages to imply corruption in the FBI and Mueller probes. Gowdy gets 15 minutes to grill Strzok, well past the five allotted to Congressmen, all to put on a political show.
