Former FBI Lawyer Under Criminal Investigation for Altering Document in Russia Probe: Report

“A former FBI lawyer is under criminal investigation for allegedly altering a document pertaining to the 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser.
The document will likely factor into Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s review of the FBI’s attempts to obtain a FISA warrant to surveil former Trump campaign official Carter Page, CNN first reported.”

Yes because the Obama administration's bungling of the unlawful surveillance of American citizens is definitely just a joke.

Everyone on the left pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. Just wait to be spoon fed what you should think.

I'm hoping even the people on the left realize altering the warrant application for the FISA warrant is wrong.  I hope they realize this really causes problems for the FBI and all those involved.  I'm hoping they can comprehend how serious this is when it comes to the OBAMA era of spying on the Donald Trump 2016 presidential campaign.

I don't know. The left is so blinded at the moment I believe if Trump were assassinated they'd argue the shooter didn't do anything wrong.

Sadly, both sides of the aisle just unified against the American citizens to renew the surveillance provisions of the Patriot Act. Doesn't get more doublespeak than that. Thanks for trying, Orwell...

Going from a lawyer is under investigation to "unlawful surveillance of American citizens" is a bit of a leap. Do you already know what's in the Inspector General's report? I don't, so I'll wait for it to be published.

LOL. You have spent most of your time in the posts I've read here clamoring for everyone to ignore any information that doesn't corroborate your bias and now, here, you are going to wait?

            Too funny.

Misrepresenting my comments won't change the fact that going from the announcement of an investigation, to "unlawful surveillance of American citizens", is a leap.

It's far too easy for our government officials to alter and redact documents to begin with. If it's done so in a criminal manner, it should be investigated. Overall we need a vastly more transparent government which will reduce the ability of bad actors to play this alteration game.

I am going to wait until the report is released. I think between the Horowitz/ Durham investigations we will see some arrests. Otherwise, why would the Durham probe become a criminal investigation? My common sense may be working in overdrive...

Attorney General William Barr gave a speech to the Federalist Society last Friday which contained a direct attack on the Resistance. Interesting how he was very verbal in regard to what he said happened from the day Trump walked into the WH.

To me sounds like there is lots of there, there... The Horowitz/Durham investigations may just provide America with one of its biggest scandals ever.

If he/she did, whoever did it should respond.
