The 'News' is talking about Candidate Sanders attacking Candidate Warren. I haven't looked into it enough to know if he did or didn't.
But, the question is; since they are both seeking the same goal, is it realistic to expect them to leave each other alone in the primary race?
I think not. And I think the gloves will really come off in the upcoming Democrat debate.
As a bonus thought . . . will their coming battle, (yes, I do think they will have a go at each other), expose fatal flaws in their platforms?
As a second "bonus thought" my first response was to give Warren the edge as a 'scrapper', but my second thought says no, don't underestimate the attack dog in Sanders.
GA
Yes, the gloves must eventually come off, but I sincerely hope they go after each other and viciously debate policy, refraining from things like what has been alleged today, which is that Sanders told Warren she could not win in 2020 because she is a woman. Bernie denies it.
Yes, I do believe that these two could end up exposing flaws in one or both that could be lethal for their candidacies. That's part of what primaries are all about, weeding out those with weaknesses and sending a strong candidate to represent the people.
I'm not sure who is the better scrapper. My first instinct was the same as yours, Warren. But Bernie has done very well when confronted with challenges in the debates. This could be very interesting.
Just to throw in another two cents, I think it is quite possible Bernie did say to Warren that a woman couldn't win the presidency in 2020. Many people share that view, after all.
It will be interesting to see if your "two cents" turns out to be right.
GA
I can only hope that regardless of who wins for the progressive wing of the party, that the relatively cordial relationship between Warren and Sanders will be shared among progressives recognizing that a vote for either Warren or Sanders is far preferable to the alternative choices.
I think your hope will be dashed Cred. I think there is a real bruiser under Sanders' grandfatherly exterior. I think he will right after the Feb. caucuses. And I also think his followers will follow his lead just as vehemently as Trump's supporters follow his.
But, that doesn't mean I think Warren is a pushover.
GA
It is so unlike Bernie, whose frankness and honesty is well known by all to make such a comment about Warren's candidacy based on gender bias. This has to some kind of Dick Dastardly, Republican trick to divide and conquer to splinter the Democratic constituency a thousand ways to insure a reelection for Trump.
We all need to be aware of this, pull together and not fall for it.
Warren has proven herself to be a liar on too many occasions to believe her over Bernie in that little spat. Bernie has always been Bernie.
Well, Warren turned this conflict into debate gold tonight. Her response was perfect and she didn't bash Bernie. Good for her!

During the democratic primaries, Bernie Sanders was accused of allegedly saying, to Elizabeth Warren personally in 2018, that he thought a woman could never be president. I personally think he was being set up with that loaded question to be honest, as I feel like that question alone tells me...

I am more than distressed with Warren's announcement that she is dropping from the Presidential race.I am reminded of a scene from Star Trek "First Contact" when the crew of the Enterprise are forced to go back in time from the 24th to the mid 21st Century to combat cybernetic creatures...

Do you think Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are for real?Do you think Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are for real? or do you think they're just saying what a large portion of the voting public want to hear in order to to advance their own poliical careers? Would a realist say much less of...
