Famous documentary filmmaker, Michael Moore, has recently warned democratic voters to NOT trust the polls suggesting that Biden has a commanding lead over Trump.  He cites how many Trump supporters will be hesitant to volunteer their political affiliation publicly, as many will vote for Trump without telling the media or anyone else who they're voting for, so he warns liberals to beware of this, and not to be too caught up in assuming Biden has this election in the bag.   Here's the youtube video to hear this from his own mouth:

I should point out that Michael Moore is a democrat himself, and he's known in the movie industry for his political documentaries that mostly tend to lean towards the left side of things, for those that care to know who he is.  Anyways, what are your thoughts on this?

Does Michael Moore have a point that the polls can't be trusted, and that Biden supporters shouldn't assume that the lead he has now is legit?   Or do you think he's full of it?  Please discuss.

Moore is right that given the nature of 2016 outcome that was not predicted by the polls, Democrats can't break out the champagne yet.

Yet the polls were incorrect in failing to account for Trumps hidden supporters, his cabal, if you will.

Regardless, the polling systems would have to be many times more inaccurate  than they were in 2016 for Donald Trump to win reelection.

As for the "shy" Trump vote and supporter, I loathe such people who are ashamed to admit in public that they support ( David Duke), but vote for him all the same. I have no respect for those who  lack the courage of their convictions.

Interesting that shame factor is overcompensated here in Florida with garish levels of Trump support, certain people with the love of the big pickup trucks, flying large, disgusting "Trump 2020" banners on their vehicle. Democrats are either lacking interest or are generally more refined than the coarse Trump supporters, at least around here.

Mr. Moore is correct, we on the left can never be complacent and must campaign  and cast our votes as if we were behind relative to our adversary, not taking for granted that the political right and its representatives are expected to be liquidated by the general electorate on November 3rd.

One just never knows about Polls. Polls can be skewed by the wording of questions, calling certain areas with the knowledge that a community leans one way or the other. The polls in this election "somewhat" mimic the polls of the 2016 election.   Michael Moore lives in my state of Michigan. He may be feeling the enthusiasm for Trump, as well as lawn signs. I canvas for Trump in my area. My county was mainly Dem until 2016, and then turned Rep. It appears to still be very much Trump country. We are the third-largest county in Michigan. When I canvas I ask straight forward questions. Trump has a huge ground game in Michigan. We not only canvas, but this time around helps make sure if one is voting by mail the form is correctly filled out, and we offer rides to the polls. It will be very interesting to look back on the polls after the election.

I don't trust the polls. I don't trust any of it, at this point. If Biden does win, I will end up like the dems are now. He won't be my president because I'll be unconvinced that the dems didn't do something shady to crate a false result.

Moore knows we cannot be complacent and have to win overwhelmingly to compensate for many obstacles, most notably the nationwide efforts of the GOP to make it difficult for citizens to exercise their right to vote.
