Hey, I am confused...Did Joy Reid just cancel out a Sen. Tim Scott?  Who's next?

Is Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy?
Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., responded on Monday after MSNBC host Joy Reid claimed that the senator was essentially a prop being used by the GOP to show a "patina of diversity."

Scott said that comments like Reid’s need to be "taken seriously" and urged those opposed to "good common sense" to read an excerpt from the Bible, Matthew 5:44, about loving one's enemies.

He went on to say,"Woke supremacy is as bad as white supremacy. We need to take that seriously," he told host Trey Gowdy, who also criticized Reid's comments, saying "when she calls a United States Senator who's a subject matter expert a prop, a token, or a superficial covering, that's personal and that's wrong and she should be held to account.

I wonder if Joy Reid realizes many could say the exact same about her being on MSNBC? Is she a token just hired to offer the network patina of diversity. Wonder if she does not think more of herself than that? Wonder if she got her position due to being the right person for the job, very qualified.  As representative Scott may feel about being voted in by the people of his state.

Seem's to me this black man has been pointed out by a black woman due to his political party. Should this kind of racism be allowed?  If you are a black Republican should you be canceled out?

Very hard to know the rules in this new game. Some blacks good some not so good... So, it would seem Black Republican citizens are fair game at this point, no problem if they are discriminated against.  Or perhaps they can only be discriminated against by other black people.  And should  Joy Reid be canceled for the same reason as Reid? "Who's on second -- no Who's on first"...

    Thoughts.

Joy Reid is a political pundit. That is the good, the bad, and the ugly of it in a nutshell. I think she was wrong and playing to her viewers—just like every other political pundit does.

It all seems so bazaar to me. Two well-educated prominent black people,  one would think they would celebrate each other accomplishments.  It is also odd that she would not realize her kind of logic would also make her a token.

Playing to her viewers—just like every other political pundit does. Wonder what black viewers thought about her bad-mouthing a black Senator?  Would others' disrespect the hard work that brought him to his position?

In my view, it seems very illogical to refer to Sen Scott as a more or less token. I mean are blacks not dissatisfied with the lack of diversity in Washington and in the general workplace?  Would seem illogical to bad-mouth any black person that strived to obtain success.  I guess one could say Obama was also a token if we follow Joy's logic.

Sarcasm put aside, this kind of name-calling is uncalled for in my opinion.
