Why does the Teachers Union get to alter when CDC opens schools?

So, where is the science?  Is it science when the CDC can be lobbied by the teacher's union to change their guidelines when schools should be opened.  Is the teacher's union only made up of scientists with education and working background in virology?  I think not.

This is the problem with science and democrats.  It seems politics always overrules the science.

"The lobbying paid off. In at least two instances, language “suggestions” offered by the union were adopted nearly verbatim into the final text of the CDC document.

With the CDC preparing to write that schools could provide in-person instruction regardless of community spread of the virus, Trautner argued for the inclusion of a line reading “In the event of high community-transmission results from a new variant of SARS-CoV-2, a new update of these guidelines may be necessary.” That language appeared on page 22 of the final CDC guidance."

American Federation of Teachers Union needs to be done away with. They have become too powerful, and have become destructive to the education system in America. One only look need look at how poorly American children that attend public schools are doing.   We need better teachers not better unions that protect subpar teachers.

And for the CDC needs a total to revamp and have for many years. They are nothing but an arm of Government. Never so much as now.

The scene continues to prove children are less likely to get COVID or infect others if they do become infected.  Private schools have handled keeping the children's schools full time since last fall. My own Grandson is in private school, and in the entire school year, they had two cases of COVID in his school, both women that worked in the office. They never closed down one day. My grandson is lucky enough to attend private school, where teachers have no power to dictate their form of science. The science of wanting paid time off.

Sorry, I have no respect for teaches that have refused to go back to work have used American children as a bargaining chip.  They in no respect should be or should have been called essential workers.  The teachers that belong to the union have worked from home if they worked at all. I can't express how sick I am of these Winny lazy slugs.  Guess I got that off my chest!

Time to do away with a union that holds our children as hostages. And time to clean house at the CDC.
