WASHINGTON – The Senate failed to advance a sweeping voting rights bill Tuesday, stalling the Democratic legislation aimed at countering recent restrictive state measures pursued in Republican-led states.

The Senate failed to advance the For the People Act to the floor for a debate. In a vote of 50-50, it fell short of the 60 needed to overcome a GOP filibuster. All Democratic Senators voted to begin debate, and the Republicans unanimously voted to block it.

Will this be the first of many disappointments for the Biden administration?

Will the Biden administration be able to get a deal on the very costly, pork buster, infrastructure bill passed?

What about the tax increase Biden promised, will that end up on the heap too?

Hearing Peoples Act Bill--- This hearing is very informative, and American citizens really need to listen to the hearing to really have a better idea about what this bill was all about. Senators on both sides can be heard making their case for or against The Peoples Act Bill. You be the judge but make an informed judgment. IMO this bill was unconstitutional, and nothing but a power grab. A power grab that Republicans certainly could have made while they controlled the House and Senate under Trump. But did not...  Why, because they keep to, and protect our Constitution.

One fact that is very glaring in regards to the 2020 election--- We had a historic turnout in numbers of votes cast. Historic numbers. Does this fact stand to provide the need to change our voting laws? Does this fact stand to make it necessary for our voting laws to become Federalized? Does this historic voter turnout call for our Constitution to be amended? Do facts matter any longer when it comes to changing our laws, our Constitution? Or do the media's OPINIONs just matter more?

The far left of the Dem party is fuming about Republicans using the filibuster to block Dems' S.1 election reform bill..  Progressive Democrats are stewing after one of their top priorities, a massive elections bill, stalled in the Senate Tuesday – and they're directing their ire at several targets, including Republicans, the Senate filibuster, and even President Biden, who they allege didn't do enough to stump for the legislation.

"The people did not give Democrats the House, Senate, and White House to compromise with insurrectionists," Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., said. "Abolish the filibuster so we can do the people's work."

"He's not absent, but he needs to be a lot more vocal and a lot more out front. The president supports H.R.1, the American people support H.R. 1 overwhelmingly. The president needs to lead out front and be very vocal on this issue." Rep. Jamaal Bowman"

"Rep. Mondaire Jones, D-N.Y., meanwhile, said it's not clear to him the president is serious about voting reform. Biden "just sort of stared at me,"

"If there is no Republican support to protect the rights of people of color, young people, people with disabilities to cast a ballot, the United States Senate has got to act and if it takes 50 votes and the vice president, that's what it takes," Sen. Bernie Sanders"

Joe better circles the wagons, many are very unhappy with his lethargy.

    Good questions:

What fact indicated a need to change the voting laws?

What fact required us to federalize the elections?

Why should we amend the Constitution?

    FACTS vs OPINION

When it comes to changing the laws of the Constitution,
    which matters more:

    the truth? or media-driven opinion?

It's a pity the media's opinion counts at all.
Does the media care about freedom within appropriate boundaries?
Does the media understand the role of liberty for US citizens of a democratic republic?
Does the media understand the importance of independence?
Does the media care about anything other than what's in its own best interest:
    Profit, however that is accomplished.
    ?

PS Thank goodness it failed. Let the states have their autonomy and retain their constitutional rights. The Union's guardian angels are with us.

Strangely, Biden's incompetence can work for the benefit of the true cause:
    Liberty and Justice for All.

I agree, Biden is his own worst enemy. He made flighty promises, and the left is waking up to his inability to keep any of them.  Due to his periods of confusion, he rambles off at the mouth and clearly makes it up as he goes. It is becoming harder to control. Yesterday his speech on crime was read as a fifth-grader would read. ---   He showed a lack of interest in the details of our tasks what he was reading, and like a fifth-grader reading a paper in school he appeared bored. His tone was flat without what one would expect to hear with the subject at hand.  He is truly incompetent, and should not be leading the country even as a prop, he is ineffective.

If we do not have a president, what do we have?
        This information  should

You hear all the time that he is being "handled!"

I think a long list ... I would not be surprised if Obama is pulling the strings, As well as Pelosi and Schumer.

Some might say it is his wife. Others might declare it is Soros.
Others explain there is a group of people, which may include Sandy and Bernie.

Our elected officials over in Washington DC need to do some investigating and some revealing, if you ask me
... and some impeaching while they're at it. What for?

    - for the border DISASTER, for one thing.
