Please Joe close line 5 --- It will totally cost tens of thousands of jobs, And skyrocketing energy bills as we come out of a pandemic;  not to mention Canada can plainly see the fact America just does not keep agreements...  But best of all,  Michigan will be done with anyone that is a Democrat.  So, please Joe close that pipeline -- pretty please.

This president proves time after time he cares little about Americans.s and has very few brain cells left.

Although the much less fortunate will suffer most if this pipeline closes. From where I sit it will be worth it. Close that sucker down Joey!

    "Enbridge’s Line 5 has been a vital
    piece of energy infrastructure
    since 1953—not just for Michigan,
but for the entire U.S. Midwest and
    points beyond.
For more than 65 years, Line 5 has
delivered the light oil and natural
gas liquids (NGL) that heat homes
    and businesses, fuel vehicles and
    power industry.
    Shutting down Line 5, even
    temporarily, would have immediate
    and severe consequences on the
    economies of Michigan, Ohio,
    Ontario, and elsewhere."

    "Crude oil impacts
Regional crude oil and NGL demand on
Enbridge’s Line 5 and Line 78 totals about
40.74 million US gallons a day.
Demand for crude is not expected to change
any time soon—and with Enbridge’s pipeline
system already essentially full, a Line 5
    shutdown would cause federally regulated
apportionment, or reduction in deliveries, on
our Line 78 by approximately 45%.
In other words, refineries in Michigan, Ohio,
    Pennsylvania, Ontario and Quebec will
    receive approximately 45% less crude
from Enbridge than their current demand."

JOBS JOBS JOBS!!! Was that not one of Bidens' promises?

"New estimates raise the number of jobs that could be impacted by a shutdown of the Line 5 pipeline in Ontario, Quebec and the U.S. Midwest to more than 60,000.

Nearly 34,000 jobs could be lost in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Pennsylvania if Michigan closes the pipeline, according to a report Monday by the Houston, Texas-based Consumer Energy Alliance (CEA).

That’s in addition to estimates of up to 5,000 direct and 23,500 indirect jobs at risk in Ontario, plus more in Quebec."

In my view, this man is causing problem after problem, and no end in sight. Do you care about the daily havoc this man is creating?  Have some American's just chosen to go the route of  "The Emperors New Clothes". Just not willing to see what they unleashed on America?  In my view, polls show most are owning up to the fact we have a man in the White House that can't do the job.

Canada has reminded the US that the treaty they hold with the US will require negotiations to shut it down line 5 pipeline.

      https://www.theglobeandmail.com/politic … -5-energy/
"The Canadian government has invoked a 1977 treaty with the United States to trigger formal government-to-government negotiations over the fate of Line 5, a vital petroleum pipeline for Canada that faces a threat of shutdown from the State of Michigan.

The move escalates a dispute in which U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration has been reluctant to intervene. Last May, U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm told reporters the White House had no plans to get involved, saying it would be up to the courts to settle.

“The Biden administration will not be able to duck this issue any longer,” Toronto international trade lawyer Lawrence Herman said on Monday."

Looks like some jobs would actually be created because in order to prevent a catastrophic spill like the one that recently happened in California, or the one that this Canadian company previous had in Michigan, they would need the following project to be completed:

With the Line 5 project, Enbridge Energy is proposing to construct a tunnel under the bed of the Straits of Mackinac between Point LaBarbe, St. Ignace, Mackinac County, and McGulpin Point, Mackinaw City, Emmet County, Michigan. This tunnel would house a new 30-inch pipeline for light crude oil and liquid natural gas, replacing the existing dual submerged pipelines crossing the Straits of Mackinac, which have been in operation since 1953.

At this point, the closure is just being considered. In one respect I look at it as a positive.

It will be a big nail in the Dem's coffin if he closes the pipeline. The very unfortunate may wake up and see it was not so wise to vote Democratic. It will be the less fortunate most hurt monetarily.   Living here in Michigan I can tell you many are having buyers remorse --  2022 can't come fast enough. We could see a great awakening where common sense wins the day.

Oh, look, another thread where you made the buyer's remorse claim.  How many times are you going to beat that dead horse?  Plenty of polls have Biden fairly even still, just the far right ones are skewing his numbers lower.

And common sense won the day last November.  We still see a party living in La-La Land believing a false reality about election fraud and failing to take the most basic of public health safety measures.

Meanwhile, Biden now has two major pieces of legislation passed and will begin working on a third.  Unemployment rate is dropping, stock market still strong (something you gushed about all during the Trump years and somehow now is irrelevant).

I think the infrastructure bill is a win. Not sure of what second legislation you speak of?  The stimulus legislation may have been what caused our present inflation. And it is getting worse daily. Just reported today ---  Inflation at the wholesale level rose 8.6% last month from a year earlier, matching September's record annual gain and offering more evidence that inflationary pressures are not easing, as Biden had predicted months
            ago.

You do realize if the  13 Republicans did not pull Biden's infrastructure bill over the line the 6 crazies would have tanked it?  The Dem party is eating away at one another...
