Is it just me or is Hubpages political forum become stuck in a Trump time warp?

No matter what a given subject is, It would seem all roads lead us back to "all that is Trump".  While in my view, "Rome is burning" some here continue to beat a golden dead horse.

I find it almost fascinating that some are so emersed in all that was and is Trump, they have seemed to develop a form of tunnel vision. I will admit Trump gave us plenty to talk about and feed this obsession. But where do we go now?

At this point, the Country has some big problems, and it would seem not many here care to address these problems. In a way, this is a sort of phenomenon, other social media sites although bring Trump up, take up discussions on current events. Soooooo---

Is this forum stuck in a Trump time warp?

    Why?

Or are you just not interested in the more current political issues of the new administration?

When "Nero" removes himself from the political stage, maybe then, we can move on. Most former Presidents tend to quietly go into the background, you know.

When he goes away, we will leave him alone.

Never has one political party be so malevolent linked with the very desires of a single man.

It's not about leaving him alone. I think you know that the elephant in the room, current political events. You don't find it odd that most conversations here ruminate on all Trump?

There is no lack of current political fodder to dive into, some I would think would provide some learning opportunities.

I can understand Trump's years as president were pretty much like no others, and the media covered him 24/7. But, it's all becoming so redundant.

At any rate, as always I thank you for commenting. Always so straightforward, and easy to converse with.

      Hi Sharlee01.
I entirely agree that there are problems that need discussion and that bringing up Trump in every discussion is not constructive.
He did cast a long shadow and his presidency highlighted a dangerous division in American society. However, Trump didn't cause this split (although he used it)
I find that most discussions on these pages are conducted with respect. This is a good beginning and might lead to constructive discussion.

Nobody keeps himself part of the news cycle like President Donald Trump.  It's almost as if leftists love to hate him.  They are still constantly covering him.  Why?  His name gets attention.  Until that changes, we can expect to see much of President Donald Trump in the news as well as living rent free in the heads of liberals.  Yeah, I've never seen people be so obsessed with a person they claim they don't like.  I think the key word here is "obsess."

      True, it's very curious.
