But China is the richest. "China has multiple firsts. Being the most populous nation on the planet, China has now grabbed the top spot on the list of the richest nations in the world. Officially known as the People's Republic of China, China is situated in East Asia and is spread in five geographical time zones ..."

How did the US get so powerful and how did China get so rich?

    Can we maintain our "power."
and can China maintain it's "wealth?"

    and How?

China became rich quickly due to working to become the world's largest manufacturing economy and exporter of all kinds of goods.  China is also the world's fastest-growing consumer market.  And are the second-largest importer of goods.  China got very rich in importing services products. It is the largest trading nation in the world.

I would think it will maintain and grow its wealth. It increases yearly.

Some have the opinion that Chinese people have become our slaves, since China is the production country we rely on. The Chinese people work long hours and are paid too little. They cannot revolt.

For some time now, China has been accused of committing crimes against humanity and even genocide against the Uyghur population as well as other mostly-Muslim ethnic groups in the north-western region of Xinjiang.

Human rights groups have made claims that China has detained more than one million Uyghurs against their will over the past few years. Keeping them in large camps of what the state calls "re-education camps".

There is also evidence that Uyghurs are being used as forced labor as slaves in China.

China has denied all allegations of human rights abuses in Xinjiang. Strongly claiming its system of "re-education" camps are there to combat separatism and Islamist militancy in the region.

The people of China essentially have three different classes that emerged as a result of their industrialization: the working class, the middle class, and the super-wealthy. The bottom is the working class that makes all the stuff made by factories and exported around the world. Workers such as these are the poorest at the bottom of the class structure and make very little money.

A complex adaptive system such as an international economy doesn't lend itself to such solutions.

        How come?

That would be wonderful. However, we worked hard to rid our country of manufacturing jobs, it would be hard to ever talk fat cats that make cash over making their products cheaper to close up shop in other countries and pay more to have their products made in the US. That ship has sailed.
