Doing some poking about this morning I discovered an interesting article giving me pause. The article is Weird State Laws 2024 by World Population Review. Get a load at some of the laws on the books.
https://worldpopulationreview.com/state … state-laws
Arizona - It is illegal to hunt camels
Alabama - it is illegal to play cards on Sunday
Kansas - it is illegal to wear fake mustaches that cause laughter
California - Illegal to Use a Gasoline-Powered Vacuum
I liked the Alabama law saying it is illegal to drive blindfolded. And, another is in New Jersey you cannot knit during fishing season.
Cool, a good chuckle.
Of course, I think most countries have their own weird laws; this short 2 minute video lists just some of the British ones: https://youtu.be/dByujO8Bvls
The one that fascinated me most – which I learnt when doing Law at College is the ‘Market Overt’ (marché ouvert) law; a medieval law in Britain that stated that if stolen goods were bought in good faith in an open-air market during the hours of daylight that the owner of those goods would legally pass to the buyer – Needless to say, that law was abolished in Britain in 1994, but it is still law in some parts of the old British Empire, such as in Hong Kong and British Columbia etc., as explained in this short video: https://youtu.be/Rh7fZYhzK8E
Thanks for contributing to the chuckles. I imagine there are laws world round that are odd. One from Sweden is it is illegal for a woman to marry a tree. Go figure. A little poking about I see it is illegal in Switzerland to hike naked.

Do you think subliminal tv commercials should be made illegal? It seems some fast food companies have been including subliminal messages in their ads. Should it be made illegal to do so? Why is it ok for them to mess with our mind?

Amidst all the forum rubbish going on and the abundant holiday "ho-hum" let's see what films make you chuckle any time of year. The aggressive nature of so many in the religious forums is not a sanitary place to be. There is enough poop happening out in the real world for us...
