Just for fun and for the curious Pew Research published on June 6, 2024 a study of voters on different topics. What is obvious when skimming here and there is the starkness and the likeness seen on different topics.

Cultural Issues and the 2024 Election
Immigration, gender identity, racial diversity and views of a changing society
    https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/20 … -election/

For a little help on particular topics is the following

Page 1 - key issues and overall views

Page 2 - Racial attitudes and the 2024 election

Page 3 -  Immigration attitudes and the 2024 election

Page 4 - America, its history and the 2024 election

Page 5 - Gender, family, reproductive issues and the 2024 election

Page 6 - Gender identity, sexual orientation and the 2024 election

Page 7 - Religious values and the 2024 election

Page 8 - Crime, policing and the 2024 election

Page 9 -  Gun attitudes and the 2024 election

    Page 10 - Acknowledgments

    Page 11 - Methodology

Note: Each page guessing has an average of 4 or more graphics so worth a skim on a particular topic or the whole of the report. Of course, common knowledge is a predictor where the two polar opposites stand.

That handles most of the domestic issues other than the economy.

Fitting results most are what you would expect.

And typically foreign affairs take a backseat to issues here at home.

Biden should be thankful for that, the depths of the disastrous decisions this Administration has made are the things of historical legend.

In the future they will talk about the occurrences of today the way they talk of the worst of errors made when national dynasties turn .

Did you read the title? The keyword is 'cultural'.

Makes sense...  I read quite a lot of it, somehow missed the heading's very intent.

How soon after Pence and Trump speak at the Southern Baptist convention will the SBC have to give up their taxi-exempt status?

A section 501(c)(3) organization may not publish or distribute printed statements or make oral statements on behalf of, or in opposition to, a candidate for public office. Consequently, a written or oral endorsement of a candidate is strictly forbidden. - IRS

And yet most churches have made statements on behalf of a candidate

This puts a little different view on churches vs 501(3)(3) organizations.  Apparently all the benefits without any of cons.

"Trump will speak virtually at a nearby event on Monday, the day before the annual meeting. That program includes some Southern Baptist leaders. It’s sponsored by an independent group but listed on the SBC calendar of events.

Former Vice President Mike Pence will speak Tuesday at a luncheon hosted by the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, but not in the main hall, as he did in 2018."

Do they really think nobody will notice the tap dance around the law?

This is why 18 months ago I left the Southern Baptists after being an active member since age 5. I still participate in corporate worship in another denomination. I just don't want to be identified as an evangelical and I don't blame God for what people do in His name.
