The Constitution and the American Left
How the Left believes the Constitution has failed them and how the Right believes it must be protected at all costs

This is the true heart of the 2024 election, which is a continuation of the 2016 and 2020 election battles.

There are many issues that blur this fact, and it is little advertised by either side, as issues like abortion and immigration are bantered about and brought center stage.

But at this election's heart is whether America will further support and fund the agendas and priorities put forth by the UN, or whether it will remove itself from those efforts, such as the UN Global Compact on Migration and the move toward a global government superseding America's sovereignty.

I believe it's crucial to stay focused on America and our democracy, especially in light of the UN's efforts to influence migration policies in our country. The 2024 election will highlight ongoing struggles from previous cycles, particularly regarding global governance and U.S. sovereignty. While topics like abortion and immigration often take center stage, the real issue is how we respond to international pressures. However, the media has us looking here, instead of there.   We must recognize the dire implications of supporting agendas like the UN Global Compact on Migration, which seem to dictate terms to our nation from their podiums. As we move forward, we need to carefully prioritize national independence, and distance ourselves from global priorities, that could undermine our sovereignty. We must prioritize what’s best for America and ensure that our democratic values remain intact. Circle the wagons...

Regarding Kerry, I can't help but feel disgusted. He really comes off as senile at this point. He openly discusses a "New World Order," and it’s alarming how he doesn’t even bother to mask his words with subtlety anymore.

How you look only the mirror will tell you. I suggest that the American Constitution is outdated and must be updated. The electoral college needs to be finished and efforts to have a multi-party system rather than just a two-party system. America must also stop destabilizing other countries and starting wars all over the globe. The last part has been terrible for America with the result, it is facing a threat from China, and in time to come, the China-Russia alliance could spell doom for America.

What do YOU believe, from your viewpoint from the other side of the world, should be changed in our Constitution?  Changes that would benefit the United States, not necessarily the world or anyone not a citizen of this country?

While it's understandable to feel that the American Constitution may require updates to reflect contemporary society, it's important to recognize the foundational principles it established and how they continue to serve as a cornerstone of democracy. The Constitution has shown remarkable resilience and adaptability, allowing for amendments that address societal changes without completely overhauling the system. Dismantling the Electoral College, for instance, could undermine the balance between populous and less-populated states, potentially leading to a situation where the voices of rural Americans are marginalized in favor of urban interests.

Moreover, advocating for a multi-party system is complex; while it may seem appealing to have a broader range of political voices, it can also lead to fragmentation and instability, as seen in other countries with multiple parties where coalition governments struggle to maintain cohesion and effectiveness.

Regarding America's foreign policy, it is essential to acknowledge that interventionist actions are often grounded in national security interests, humanitarian concerns, or the promotion of democracy. While some interventions have had negative outcomes, they have also sometimes been necessary to prevent larger conflicts or atrocities. It’s important to note that our current administration did not choose negotiation as its primary strategy; instead, it has opted to support two ongoing wars. This contrasts with past administrations that have sought to engage in diplomacy and negotiation to resolve conflicts. Rather than abandoning involvement in global affairs, America should strive to engage more thoughtfully and strategically, ensuring that its actions do not exacerbate tensions but rather contribute to global stability.

Now, consider this: what if there were a world war? Would you still feel the same about America being involved? In times of global conflict, the stakes are much higher, and the consequences of inaction could be devastating not only for America but for the world as a whole. Historically, U.S. involvement in global conflicts has often been pivotal in restoring stability and promoting peace, not always...

"Obama, a staunch UN proponent, ...issued a “presidential proclamation”

urging all 50 governors and “officials of all other areas under the flag of the United States” to “observe United Nations Day with appropriate ceremonies and activities.”

He also called on everyone to “summon the spirit of unity and cooperation at the heart of the United Nations Charter.”

A few years earlier, in a 2012 speech at the UN General Assembly, Obama told assembled dictators and representatives of government from around the world that

we live in “an interdependent world” where “all of us have a stake in working towards greater opportunity and security for our citizens.”

Conflicts, meanwhile, arise from “difficulties of reconciling tradition and faith with the diversity and interdependence of the modern world.”

Clearly, “interdependence” is a major theme of the Obama White House."

It's a good idea, but it comes at the expense of free speech, property and protection rights... And subordinating America to a higher authority, one that does not answer to "we the people".

        UTOPIA
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utopia

"During the 16th century, Thomas More's book Utopia proposed an ideal society of the same name. Readers, including Utopian socialists, have chosen to accept this imaginary society as the realistic blueprint for a working nation, while others have postulated that Thomas More intended nothing of the sort.

It is believed that More's Utopia functions only on the level of a satire, a work intended to reveal more about the England of his time than about an idealistic society. This interpretation is bolstered by the title of the book and nation and its apparent confusion between the Greek for "no place" and "good place": "utopia" is a compound of the syllable ou-, meaning "no" and topos, meaning place.

But the homophonic prefix eu-, meaning "good," also resonates in the word, with the implication that the perfectly "good place" is really "no place."

        NO PLACE

        Utopianism vs Republicanism

        From:
        https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repub … ted_States

"The United States Supreme Court has created a basic definition of what a "republic" is. In United States v. Cruikshank (1875), the court ruled that the "equal rights of citizens" were inherent to the idea of a republic.

Later, the Court's decision from In re Duncan (1891) ruled that the "right of the people to choose their government" is also part of the definition of a republic."

"Republicanism always stands in opposition to aristocracy, oligarchy, monarchy, and dictatorship. More broadly, it refers to a political system that protects liberty, especially by incorporating a rule of law that cannot be arbitrarily ignored by the government."
