This could be the worst political scandal of the decade.
"CNN's Scott Jennings criticized the White House for hiding President Biden's health and age issues from the public in a segment on Thursday.
A Wall Street Journal report from Thursday that includes interviews with nearly 50 people, including current and former White House staffers who interacted directly with the president, revealed that Biden's stamina issues were apparent even during his first few months in office.
"It‘s a scandal of epic proportions and it’s a fair question to ask, who is running the country?" Jennings said. "Who has been running the country?"
Jennings argued that Biden's staffers lied about his health and age concerns for the entirety of his presidency.
"If you‘re worried about Donald Trump‘s advisers having influence — for the last four years, apparently, this president, duly elected, this president was not capable of fulfilling the duties of the office. And his staff and the White House lied about it and kept it from the American people," Jennings said. "It‘s an absolute scandal."
"stamina issues"??
Gotcha, just as long as we know the bar in which to measure trump... Do heavy breathing, slurring and sniffing count?
What is the "absolute scandal" here? What are the exact allegations?
Yup... it was obvious...
It was talked about on here frequently...
All those who defend this decrepit cesspool of a government that we have had for the last 4 years pooh poohed any evidence and any talk of it.
When people say that a dementia patient is fine, how can you trust anything else they tell you?
Ken, we can only hope that this scandal will open many people's eyes to what kind of party they're supporting. Now that journalists are starting to raise awareness, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone seizes the opportunity to create a documentary on this mess, exposing everything that’s been part of this scam. Unfortunately, some people are too far gone... I mean, TDS seems almost incurable. We've all had conversations about Biden's cognitive state and posted the facts through videos—there’s no better proof than the words and actions of the person in question. Even outlets like Politico are saying Biden is AWOL. The media is on his case--- this will be front and center. I mean do they not need to exonerate themselves?
I see some very down-in-the-dumps Trump haters very shortly.
Hey, we’ve won, and now we’ve got a real chance to have someone tackle the issues you and I have been frustrated with—immigration, endless wars, a government where almost every agency has been weaponized, trade, bringing manufacturing back, creating good jobs, and protecting our moral values, and a better economy... and so much more. We’ve got a real shot at making it happen. Can you imagine if she would have won?
I think it's important this matter be completely investigated. It is important to discover what those staffers knew and when they became aware of it. Our country has been run by a president's staff for four years.
This was a horrible thing done to the American people. Someone needs to be held accountable.
Investigations for "stamina" issues? Really? So when Trump comes into office and a staffer thinks that his energy level should be higher or he should be more active we should investigate?
I agree. I think anyone who participated should be outed and held accountable to "We the People." Many were involved, and we have the right to know who knew and what they did to perpetrate the scam.
I don't think this reporting touched on "cognitive issues" whatsoever. They allege "stamina" issues...and the clown car should roll out for such? BUT EGGS....
Yes, I could imagine if she won... I predicted it would happen remember.
I don't have a very high opinion of our government or its honesty or fairness.
Or how half the States in the country today run their elections...
I see America as a nation that is 50% banana republic in how corrupt the State governments are... places like NY and CA... I do not see them as salvageable, I see them as the eventual cause of the downfall of America.
Those States run on ideals unfounded and ungrounded in reality.
Those States... their politics and their budgets... will bring down the entire nation. They will not be 'fixed' or 'fixable' so long as the rest of America can keep them afloat.
Much like how the rest of the world is still keeping America afloat, unwillingly and with a growing ire over the situation, looking to dump the Dollar and go with BRICS.
We need a massive and immediate course correction.
China is the world's global heart today, not America... it is the Industrial Engine that makes the world work.
We allowed the nation to be gutted decades ago... Trump in his first term tried to reverse it, and all the corrupt criminals in DC at that time fought him, China fought him, and the likes of Bill Gates and George Soros in their efforts to tear down America and rebuild it into a nation that serves only the elites fought him.
They won that battle, it took a Pandemic and some race riots, but they ousted Trump and got on with their plans... with increased vigor and determination.
I'm not sure we can walk back from WWIII.
I'm not sure we can rebuild our Industrial Base... or become the Industrial Heart of the world again... or the Intellectual Center of the world either.
How soon before Chinese Universities become the heart of learning for the rest of the world?
How soon before Chinese AI and Chinese computers and software dominate the globe... surpassing Microsoft or Google?
I'm not sure that the Biden Administration wasn't the final blow... or isn't taking its remaining days to ensure the final blow... the no going back... has been struck.
All it takes is for them to set off one nuke in Ukraine and blame Russia for it... and the world will spend the next decade embroiled in a war that no one... not even Trump or Musk... will be able to untangle or reverse.
Ken,
You bring up so many valid points, and I couldn't agree more. I absolutely remember your prediction—it’s hard not to see how it’s all playing out exactly as you said. The level of corruption and incompetence in some states, like New York and California, is staggering. They do seem to operate on ideals that are detached from reality, and it’s hard to imagine how they could ever be salvaged when their policies and budgets drag everyone else down with them.
The parallels you draw between states relying on the rest of the country and America relying on the rest of the world hit the nail on the head. It’s no wonder there’s growing frustration globally, with moves like BRICS showing how fed up the world is. A massive course correction is exactly what’s needed, but as you said, the path forward isn’t clear, and clearly, it will be full of pitfalls.
China has undeniably positioned itself as the industrial and intellectual hub of the world. Watching their influence grow while America’s own base was gutted decades ago is frustrating, especially knowing Trump tried to reverse it and was met with relentless opposition. The pandemic, riots, and the sheer determination of those in power to oust him—it’s like they’ll stop at nothing to push their agenda forward. I saw plenty of "let's get Trump" in that CR. Thank god they were scrapped. If the provision restricting investments in China would have passed in the Continuing Resolution. Trump would have had a hell of a time negotiating with China. He would have been sunk on day one with China. This regulation would be shown as a lack of respect, big time. I am grateful it was cut.
I share your concerns about the future, whether it’s the potential for a global conflict or the dominance of Chinese technology and education. It’s hard not to wonder if the Biden administration is the tipping point, ensuring the damage is irreversible. The thought of them setting off a chain reaction with something like a nuke in Ukraine is terrifying, and it really does feel like we’re at a breaking point. If we don’t find a way to course-correct soon, the fallout might be something we can never recover from.
We have a chance, we have a good team. I guess we sit back and watch the battle at this point. We can hope good wins out.
Thank you for posting a current issue. So many are being tucked away, and ignored.
I agree with the Wall Street Journal article that criticized those who have lied or downplayed Joe Biden's cognitive state. It's been visible to many, even from the start of his presidency, yet many in the government and left-leaning media have been dishonest, seemingly working to hide the facts. His confusion has been evident, but instead of addressing it, they chose to silence those raising concerns. The right-leaning media, however, has consistently reported on these issues, offering factual examples as they occurred, and showing the truth of the situation.
For instance, during a speech in Iowa, Biden mistakenly called out to a deceased congresswoman, saying, “Jackie, are you here? Where's Jackie?” This is just one example of his apparent cognitive decline, but there has been little acknowledgment or action from those in power, or even his own supporters. This man should have been removed from office, and those who hid his condition—his wife and family included—should be ashamed for enabling this.
This period will go down as a shameful time in our history, an embarrassment. Biden’s condition is on full display due to modern technology, and yes, this is one of the biggest scandals in our history. I can only wish that those behind the curtain, making these horrific decisions, will be outed, and that blame will be directed at those who pulled off this disgusting scam. This group exploited a vulnerable elderly man and should be ashamed of their actions.
I was stunned to read they knew of biden's cognitive decline and hid it. There was no effort on the part of the democrats to evoke the 25th amendment. They promoted a lie with help from the main stream media. It is a scandal of significant proportions. I think the world knew biden was weak, frail and suffering from cognitive decline. All of them took total advantage of it.
I think an investigation needs to be conducted.
What the democrats did is reprehensible.
Oh yes an investigation.. no thanks, we are laser focused on the "grocery," As Trump calls it.
I feel that foreign allies may have noticed Biden’s cognitive challenges, particularly given moments of confusion in public appearances. Many diplomatic leaders have historically been careful with their language when discussing U.S. leadership, opting to support the sitting president to avoid diplomatic friction. However, some foreign figures and analysts have raised concerns in private or in less direct terms, often in the context of discussing the U.S.'s broader political environment.
Once President Biden leaves office, it's possible that more candid assessments may emerge. Former diplomats or political analysts could feel freer to speak about their true impressions of his leadership and whether they privately questioned his cognitive abilities. But for now, it’s largely about maintaining a public stance of support for the sitting U.S. president, given the strategic alliances that bind the countries together.
We've seen the Democrats pull one reprehensible scam after another, and this one takes the cake. Nothing about their actions in Washington surprises me anymore. From the moment he emerged from the basement, I was fully aware that this man was struggling with cognition.
I'm glad to see that journalists are finally stepping up and calling out the truth, even though many have turned a blind eye until now. I truly believe more Americans are waking up and starting to realize it's time to take a hard look at a party that's dishonest, not serving the people, and honestly, pretty evil.
Mike, I have a feeling that soon a journalist will be doing investigations, and put together a documentary on Biden's cognitive decline and how others have exploited him so poorly. It would be absolutely riveting to watch. Then I would suppose the DOJ will have a long look at this mess.
As if claiming Trump was a traitor, a Putin puppet, whom they impeached and investigated non-stop wasn't reprehensible?
As if using the DOJ, FBI, and NY Courts to attempt to destroy a former President and frontrunner of the opposition to the criminal cabal in control in DC wasn't reprehensible?
Tales of the FBI controlling Social Media and silencing people because they spoke the truth?
Tales of the FBI fabricating evidence against one candidate for President while hiding criminal wrongdoing of the other candidate for President?
Tales of FBI agents being on the ground, in the crowds, and instigating and conflating the actions on J6?
I think a LOT of what has been done the past decade is reprehensible, deceptive, dangerous, and in need of being investigated.
Or to put it more simply... the swamp really does need to be drained...
Well, at least we know the telltale signs, of which to measure Trump with in the future since he is what . . 78. I don't know if those who are making this an issue are bluffing or going to raise the ante. We will see as the game gets more intense since the stakes of the pot will change Jan. 20th, 2025. That is the only pot that counts. I will keep watching the cards being dealt to the players of significance.
Consider taking the Trump and Biden names out of the conversation. They are just the details of the 'scandal': Who was running things and why wasn't the public told?
This isn't the first time we've faced this issue. An analogy to President Wilson seems legitimate. (maybe even to Regan?) Now, just as I see in Wilson's example, the scandal isn't about Wilson or Biden, it's about the deceit and presumption of a—get ready Ken, coming your way—'Shadow government' ;-).
GA
I’d say Ken was spot on. It’s hard to imagine how anyone could have overlooked the numerous incidents that clearly pointed to cognitive issues. However, it’s fair to say that many, including people here, found excuses and were more than willing to go along with them. I believe it’s wise to remove specific names from the conversation, as they’re merely details within the broader scandal. This situation is far-reaching, and it’s evident someone else has been pulling the strings. What’s truly troubling is how many Americans chose to focus only where they were directed, which is just as concerning as the scandal itself.
Even as some here attempt to divert the conversation by bringing Trump into the mix (look here, not there), they suggest we need to focus on comparing Trump's demeanor to Biden's. Now that more people within Biden's circle are coming forward with their recollections, it seems the diversion has become necessary.

Once again, the great stone head is now calling himself a scholar of economics. He tells us now that the economic turnaround would now "take time", while on the campaign trail he was telling us that it would occur overnight. On March 13th, there will be an assessment of the inflation...

As the day draws near for Joe Biden to hand over the keys of the White House back to Trump, I’ve been reflecting on Biden’s presidency, gathering my thoughts, and organizing my views. The key word here is my views. I hope this inspires others to pause, reflect, and share their thoughts and insights...

I have watched the DNC convention all week --- I have heard lots of what Trump has done to destroy America, and how he single-handedly kill hundred of thousand American's due to his handling of COVID. I have heard lot's about the presidents' lack of empath, as well as his flawed character... The...

I was disturbed by an article I had recently read. The main theme emphasizing similarities between the current administration and the period during the 1920's after WWI and before the deluge of Hitler's ascendency in Germany. Yes, the article is from Salon but its content is still food for thought....

To say that Donald Trump did all he could to impede President Biden from accomplishing the tasks America hired him to do is an understatement. He stooped so low that he fired, at 11:30 AM the chief Usher at the White House and sent most, if not all of the staff home. Consequently, there...
