Trump reportedly plans to unleash around 100 executive orders after taking office by Fox News (Jan 11, 2025)
GOP senators met with Trump earlier this week
    https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trump- … ing-office

"President-elect Donald Trump indicated that he plans to push 100 — or around 100 — executive orders after assuming office, senators and reports have indicated, with the number varying slightly.

Trump, who will take office later this month on Jan. 20, met with Senate Republicans on Wednesday.

During a Thursday morning appearance on "Fox & Friends" Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., said that Trump indicated that there are almost 100 executive orders to address issues like border security and U.S. energy.

"He threw that out — 100 — there could be like 100 EOs, yeah. I believe him." Sen. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., noted to The Hill."

    And,

"Biden is doing everything possible to make the TRANSITION as difficult as as possible, from Lawfare such as has never been seen before, to costly and ridiculous Executive Orders on the Green New Scam and other money wasting Hoaxes. Fear not, these "Orders" will all be terminated shortly, and we will become a Nation of Common Sense and Strength. MAGA!!!" Trump declared in a post on Truth Social earlier this week."

    Thoughts, criticisms, accolades, and/or commentary?

Trump is planning 100 executive orders starting Day 1 on border, deportations and other priorities by AP News (Jan 10, 2025)
    https://apnews.com/article/trump-day-on … 446fe22710

"WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Donald Trump is preparing more than 100 executive orders starting Day One of the new White House, in what amounts to a shock-and-awe campaign on border security, deportations and a rush of other policy priorities.

Trump told Republican senators about the onslaught ahead during a private meeting on Capitol Hill. Many of the actions are expected to launch on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20, when he takes office. Trump top adviser Stephen Miller outlined for the GOP senators the border security and immigration enforcement measures that are likely to launch soonest. Axios first reported on Trump and his team’s presentation."

100 EOs on Day 1 and 100 Court filings on Day 2 (both sides).

I don't remember, but I bet someone knows how many EOs Pres. Biden issued on Day 1.

Yes, the courts will be very busy during Trump's second administration. Par for the course, isn't it?

With a cursory look about I see Biden signed 17 EOs on day one. For the first 100 days he signed 42. It is stated that was highest since Harry S. Truman.

From an article shared below comes this table

Tim—Will we see shock and awe? Going out on a limb, I think so. Trump has made a lot of promises, and I’m pretty sure he’ll be signing documents until carpal tunnel syndrome sets in. Plus, I think it’s safe to say that Trump’s ego will kick in, and he’ll aim for the Guinness Book of Records.

I think his staff have already accumulated piles.

PS. I'm glad you created this thread—I think by day two it’ll be really popular. Hopefully, we can have our conversations here instead of starting individual threads on whatever he signs.

How many of them will be quickly struck down by the courts? I predict a good number.  How many will have to do with the issues people have been wailing about?  I'm guessing very few.

He certainly has gone silent on working class cost of living issues...

I would agree that many will be struck down, although I would question how quickly it happens.

But issues people are wailing about?  Nearly all of them.  YOU may not wail about illegal aliens, but most do.  YOU may not wail about excessive regulation, but many do.  YOU may not wail about trashing Title 9 sports, but many do.  YOU may not find fault with the inherent racism and discrimination of DEI, but many do.  It goes on and on - while YOU may not find much fault with what we are doing a great many do, and they are the ones that put Trump in office.

Well he talks about expansionism more than anything... The issues you've mentioned seem to have been abandoned in favor of a focus on Greenland and the Panama Canal.  Look here not there.

Well, that is flat untrue.  YOU may talk more about Trump talking about expansionism, but most of it is just flak.

Trump talks about the border more than anything else, that and immigration problems in general.

Personal note--- Tim,  have you been affected by the fires? Hopefully not.

Thanks for asking. Not personally. I live in San Diego county two counties south of Los Angeles county where Pacific Palisades is located or about 121 miles south. But, as is the counties in Southern California we are presently in a red alert in most areas. In other words, a high alert status for the advent of a wildfire. We have had a few brush fires in the past few weeks that were extinguished pretty quickly.

Here in San Diego county they have cut the power to sensitive areas so as to prevent the possibility of power lines sparking fires. Generally speaking everywhere is dry, but wind conditions is a determining factor. We have had gusts reaching past 80 mph with constant rate at 30 mph.

I'm glad to hear that you haven't been affected. It seems like precautions are being taken to help prevent issues that can be managed with preventative measures. As for the fires, it's hard to find the right words—they've impacted so many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of California.
