When DOJ lawyers take their oath, it's not just fancy words; it's a promise to uphold the Constitution above all else. Their duty is to justice and the rule of law, not to any political agenda.

It took Bondi and Bove five whole days to do something so corrupt.

Inform yourself about the Bondi-Adams scandal. 7 attorneys resigning. Disgusting quid pro quo — mayor adams will help on immigration if bondi drops the case.  Evidence Adams broke federal law and a superseding indictment was just about to be filed adding evidence that says Adams attempted to destroy evidence.  This is happening right in front of our eyes.

Bondi and Bove explicitly said the decision to dismiss the Adams case was NOT based on facts or law... an admission that it is improperly political.

The Trump-Bondi DOJ’s efforts to dismiss charges against Eric Adams as part of a corrupt bargain must be investigated.

They learned fast, didn't they?  All of them have followed the liberal perfidy of liberals persecuting Trump and quickly understood that the law doesn't matter.  Not when it is chasing political figures, anyway.

One must offer congratulations, though - the liberal college on politics has taught well and quickly.

There was no legitimate reason to dismiss the case against Adams.

Republicans incessantly whined for four years about the weaponization of the Biden DOJ.

The only support they had is that Trump was charged with crimes and his home was searched.

Now that Bondi/Bove are openly weaponizing DOJ, have any Republicans said anything? You know, since they're SO sensitive to weaponization?  Turning a blind eye to seven attorneys who resigned and wrote compelling statements.

Not two weeks into the job and  Bondi has taken  full ownership of corruption and weaponization.... She has proven why she was nominated.

"There was no legitimate reason to dismiss the case against Adams. "

And there was no legitimate reason to begin investigating Trump's "collusion" with Russia, but it was done anyway.  There was no legitimate reason to ignore Hillary's secret servers, but it was done anyway.  Which is what I said; the liberals have been a great teacher in how to weaponize and/or ignore the law.

I think this is a deflection to go back decades... But the FBI investigated Hillary for years... Just like Adams had been investigated for years.

Bondi  is brazenly political.  She is not even trying to hide that she has been put in her position simply to do the bidding of trump...

Bondi’s “zealous advocacy” memo goes one step further, promising to punish attorneys who “deprive the President of the benefit of his lawyers” by declining to appear in court or sign briefs. This directive not only conflicts with civil service laws and legal ethics rules protecting government lawyers who refuse to sign off on improper or unethical arguments, but also misconstrues who department attorneys represent the United States, not the president.

This is weaponization like we have never seen.

It was obvious that this would happen with a Trump win. The Democrats denounced a member of their own party, (MAGA does the same, right? roll ) so he went and kissed some orange a$$. He defended Trump. Then Trump defended him. And he was invited to the inaguration. The rest/outcome was foreseeable.

The hypocrisy of MAGA is disgustingly laughable.

They learned well, didn't they?  After watching Hillory walk away without a scratch, after watching Obama and his change to the laws that created DACA, after watching Biden and his legal shenanigans, the right learned it well.

At first, it seems 'weaponization' start with old man joe biden, right?                                  Why was it specifically target against Trump?                                  Now, why are them that dislike Trump, crying foul when used against what biden has sow?                                   Seriously, those that dislike Trump, will never see one good thing about his Administration. These should try as best as they can to think something good about his person.                               Didn't  Trump, said he'll do such and such, during his campaign? The wish of the left is foolshness to the thought.

"Why was it specifically target against Trump?   "

Their was no targeting.  When an individual commits acts that are legally dubious... It draws the attention of the legal system.   It's very simple,  their is absolutely  no evidence that the Department of Justice acted with prejudice toward Trump....the current bunch in the office are quite a different story...blatantly corrupt and using the office for political purposes.

the Justice Department accepted  a quid pro quo: dropping charges against Eric Adams in exchange for his cooperation on immigration enforcement... And Republicans are perfectly comfortable with this.

Dropping Adams charges of fraud, corruption and destroying evidence  to advance a political agenda is cool with this bunch.

"When an individual commits acts that are legally dubious... It draws the attention of the legal system."

You mean like Hillary and her server.  You mean like Hunter and his computer.  But hey - they were a part of the liberal clan and must be protected from that same legal system...which Biden did quite will for Hunter.

Hillary and Hunter were investigated... Are you already forgetting  the Comer/Jordan debacle?  Lol, one of their witnesses was convicted for lying, another just fled and wasn't another found to be a spy??  The whole thing was comical.

None of that changes the fact that Bondi is really quite openly weaponizing the Department of Justice.  And it seems to be that Trump followers are saying that's just dandy with them

Yes they were.  Investigated for a few days, found guilty by investigators (not the courts) and the investigations shut down.

I do believe that is what I said; liberals must be protected from the legal results of their illegal actions.  When Bondi spends a decade "investigating" someone and finds nothing but keeps going anyway...then you can call it "weaponization".  Until that point it is just repeating what liberals taught them to do.

"Yes they were.  Investigated for a few days, "

              YEARS

But again it's a diversion from Bondi's actions.   Dismissing a case for purely political reasons over the objections of seven us attorneys.  Ignoring allegations of a quid pro quo...

Let me remind folks that the purpose of the department is to ensure that our laws are carried out, that those who engage in criminal wrongdoing are prosecuted and punished... Barbie is a disgrace to the office.

Her failure to understand the apolitical nature of criminal prosecution. In  trumpworld, it seems, everything is political. You are either for us or against us. But prosecutors are charged with assessing the facts and law.  Government attorneys are not bipartisan; they are non-partisan, something Trump and Bondi seem unable or unwilling to comprehend.

This is what judicial sleaze actually looks like.

I agree.  I don't like what I'm seeing with pardons and such.  The NY mayor fiasco is a disgrace to everyone involved (except those that refused to participate).

But once more, that simple fact that you don't want to discuss or mention: Democrats and liberals started these shenanigans.  What we are seeing is the almost inevitable fall out from the actions of Democrats over the last decade or so.

We saw weaponization by Hoover, way back when.  And we stopped it, keeping the justice system pretty clean for a long time.  Then Trump came and it started all over, with tacit approval from VIPs all through our government.  That it is continuing with Trump in charge, while deplorable and wrong, is not a surprise.  At least to those people that are honest enough to look at the roots rather than the top few leaves of the weapon tree.

I think we all need to remember that Biden could have pardoned Adams...
