The Alarming Story Behind “Operation Arctic Frost”

This week, I came across some truly startling information about something called Operation Arctic Frost — an alleged investigation run by the Biden Justice Department that, according to Sen. Chuck Grassley, targeted Republican lawmakers simply for questioning the 2020 presidential election results. If this is accurate, it raises serious concerns about political weaponization within federal law enforcement.

Objecting to election results is not a crime. In fact, Democrats have done the same thing before, in 1969, 2001, 2005, and 2017. None faced legal consequences for it. These objections are protected by the First Amendment and by the Electoral Count Act of 1887. Members of Congress are within their constitutional rights to raise questions about an election’s fairness.

According to Grassley, a memo from then–FBI Director Christopher Wray to Attorney General Merrick Garland opened the door to what became known as Operation Arctic Frost in April 2022. The stated purpose was to investigate alleged “interference” with Congress’s certification of the 2020 election. That memo, now publicly available on Grassley’s Senate website, bears the signatures of Wray, Garland, and Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco.   To view signatures   https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news … hatgpt.com

Grassley has alleged that this operation led to a sweeping data collection effort, including the call logs of Republican members of Congress. Reports say the FBI issued at least 197 subpoenas as part of the probe. Targets allegedly included President Trump, his aides, the Republican Attorneys General Association, and other GOP allies.

Even more concerning, Grassley revealed that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team subpoenaed AT&T for access to the office line of Sen. Ted Cruz. The company reportedly refused to comply after consulting its lawyers, but according to Grassley, was then barred from disclosing the request by a court order issued by D.C. Judge James Boasberg. Grassley and others argue that the secrecy surrounding the order could violate federal law, which requires notifying the Senate when a sitting senator is being surveilled.

Grassley said there’s no evidence any of the targeted lawmakers were involved in criminal acts related to the January 6 riot. Despite that, the investigation allegedly swept up members of Congress, campaign staff, and other Republican figures in what Grassley calls a politically motivated “fishing expedition.”

According to a press release from Chuck Grassley, the probe targeted “92 Republican organizations or individuals,” including Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA.” (Senate Judiciary Committee; New York Post.) Grassley specifically said, “On that political list was one of Charlie Kirk’s groups, Turning Point USA.” (New York Post.)

The files released show that the investigation was broader than just the immediate election-certification matters. For example, the list of organizations allegedly swept up included national political groups, advocacy organizations, and individuals who had expressed public support for President Trump or questioned aspects of the 2020 election. These revelations, if verified, suggest that Arctic Frost extended far beyond its original purpose, crossing into territory that critics argue amounts to surveillance of political opposition.

At this point, many details of the Arctic Frost probe remain classified or redacted. What’s clear is that this revelation has reignited a debate over how far the government can go when investigating political figures — and whether oversight safeguards are still strong enough to protect the rights of elected officials.

Shar, another excellent report.  The Biden-Harris admin has to be the most corrupt in US history, with the Obama-Biden admin a close second.

This "Arctic Frost" operation clearly demonstrates the corrupt machine that the Democrat Party has become.   According to Sean Davis, "New Arctic Frost whistleblower documents show that the corrupt Biden FBI subpoenaed the bank records, donor lists, and emails of nearly every major conservative organization and leader in the country, including Donald Trump’s campaign, the RNC, Conservative Partnership Institute, Save America PAC, America First Policy Institute, and even MyPillow."

We can only hope all of those involved soon face justice for their part in the "fishing expedition."  Fishing for crimes wastes taxpayer dollars and delays or prohibits the real work that needs to be done for American citizens.

Hi Linda, I’ve been following this report and felt it deserved its own thread. It’s a shocking allegation, and I’m sure we’ll be hearing much more as the investigation unfolds. This will be very interesting to follow. It certainly feels as if many laws have been broken.
