a perspective comparing the trial of the Michigan Hutaree Militia to the murdering joke of Obama at the White House Correspondent's Dinner

..."By any honest reckoning, the government ruling us is the single most promiscuous law-breaker on record, and the contempt of our rulers for the legal authority under which they supposedly operate – the U.S. Constitution – is inexhaustible."

Two points I want to make. First, the report that Sparklingwingnut refers to leaves out some facts.

"David Brian Stone, the Hutaree’s leader, obtained information about such devices over the internet and emailed diagrams of such devices to a person he believed capable of manufacturing the devices. He then had his son, Joshua Matthew Stone, and others gather materials necessary for the manufacturing of such devices."

While the defense is entitles to spin this as drunk talk, the evidence seems to suggest the plot extended to design and collecting bomb materials. It will be up to the prosecution to prove those points in court - I don't advocate trying this case in Hubpages, but if a Christian defender of the Hutaree wants to post only half the story, I will post the missing half.

Second - there is something vile about trying to equate a joke that Obama told - to the active and premeditated murder of a policeman and the subsequent murder of greiving members of the funeral. Some people are so blinded by their hatred of all things Obama they can't discern reality.

Sparky Baby! Is Griggs saying that President Obama Conspired to kill the Jonas Brothers?  If Yes... Is he saying President Obama Conspired to kill the Jonas Brothers With the Jonas Brothers and a room full of other people?

I'm glad you bought up this subject. I never really listened closely to the facts of this case. The author made a very bad comparison.

And I really don't understand the actions of the first Judge in this case. She had the same information Doug has. Right?

    Having read the link

I am not sure if it is the stress of the job or if the Pres. Obama truly do not understand just how much some people people hate him. He is under a microscope and he will be until such time as he leaves office. Actions and words that he uses which would not have been given a second thought if done by somebody else will be magnify, analyzed and dissected. This president needs to come to grips with the idea that not all Americans are working with him there are a lot of them who would like to destroy him.

This is one instanse where the joke Obama made could only be taken as a joke by any rational person.  Those who want to portray the joke as 'in bad taste'  or offensive or seriosly violent brand themselves with the acccusation as irrational. The more wingnuts try to spread this, the better it wil be for Obama.

it continues to amaze me how people think that the way they see things is the only correct "version"...I do my best to not fall into that delusion smile  diversity makes the world go round...and hopefully we all learn what we are here to learn while we learn to work together

Ernest, what's a "fundie"? I really would like to hear your version, just in case you are ignorantly using the word, for I would like to think that it's too easy to call others names, I have seen you rise above that level

jewel - Doug doesn't have a "version". He only spouts what he's been told to. That's why he can name-call and insult others with impunity and never get banned. He's a government shill paid to disrupt discussion boards of this nature.

MadamX - You have crossed the line. If you call me a 'cad' or a 'sexist' that's an opinion. And I won't complain.

But the accusation that I am 'paid by the government to disrupt discussion boards' is a lie and I am going to report it and protest in the strongest terms.

If anyone wanted to check, they would notice that I only post early in the morning or late afternoons to night.  Sundays excepted. That's because work 6 days per week in the hot Florida sun.  I'm a working guy who sees how the working class is getting the dirty end of the stick.

As Sarah Palin put it, 'Ya can't just make stuff up."

Because I didn't see her wringing her hands and whining and complaining "in the strongest possible terms" all the injustices brought against her and reaching for the 'Help Me Mommy!' button. Oh, the humanity!

If you like whiney hubs - read MadamX - 'A blatent Lie' (oh the irony) - - read the accusations and then folllow the comments waaaaaay down until she finally admits what the comment was that got her suspended.

It wasn't me at all - but she never corrected her hub accusations.

Really?  She devoted an entire hub to her paranoid fantasies about Doug and an entire thread about being offended by the term "sugar."

She likes to play the victim, doesn't she?

Let's talk about VERSIONS VS. FACTS. Help me understand your version of facts. Let's go back to basics.

The round earth revolves around the round Sun. Can I have your version of these facts.

Why twist the facts as if they are opinions?

Keep stating the facts for us Doug!
