Because after watching porn you want to emulate. But how many of us feel inclined towards violence after watching, say, Kill bill

Watching violence can even make you abhor it and go as far away from that path as possible. Yes, some are inspired to try it. But it can not be in great numbers.

On the other hand, porn eggs you on to look for a snug place of any description to put your thing in. There is a very good chance that it is going to be unethical, undignified or frowned at.  And, almost everybody would surely engage himself in this activity as against the minuscule numbers in the case of violence.
    So are they both same?

I think the perfect small cozy place for you to stick your "thing" would be the microwave.

Are they the same?  Porn and violence?  I'm confused.

I think the whole debate about sex and violence in the media is just a huge distraction from the things that really matter, such as the impunity with which BP is getting away with the crap it is getting away with, the impunity with which Wall Street has gotten away with the crap it has gotten away with, and other REAL LIFE examples of sleaze and violation of decencies we all agree should be defended and upheld -- and I just discovered that this is what I think, on answering this question... wink
