"KABUL (Reuters) – More NATO troops will die in Afghanistan as violence mounts over the summer, but Washington's goal of turning the tide against the insurgency by year's end is within reach, the top U.S. military officer said on Sunday."
Washington is going to turn the tide... and dozens if not 100's of American Kids are going to die for that goal.
Anyone tell me what we "Win"?
$800 Billion Dollar Industrial Complex War machine fighting Cave Dwelling Cricket Eaters with machine guns... seems like we could "win"...
Except for one simple FACT. You can not force belief systems on people with Military Force... or any other force.
The Culture of the "West" needs to get the hell out of there and let these people live there own lives. It is not up to us to tell them how to live.
Dead Americans in Afghanistan doesn't equal American Safety.
Anyone remember how the Vietnam War turned out?
OBAMA = FAIL!
Obama can't blame Bush for this... he had every opportunity to end this... and chose not to.
A goat jumps to catch the leaves of a tree and if it could not, it simply goes to another tree.
When America could not catch Bin Laden and end terrorism they can simply leave that place and save many lives of its own soldiers.
There is a danger of frustrated American soldiers desert and join Taliban, if America unnecessarily drags on against elusive Taliban leader.
If Americans leave, that man will have no enemy around him and will start harassing locals and neighbours and bring his own end. Only Afgan locals and Pakistan people can drive him out from there.

Do we really want to cut defense spending? Consider that already much of the military function has been outsourced to private companies that a making huge profits off the wars, one of the left's source of angry objection. Cutting further would make us more reliant on these private mercenary...
