Ron Paul opposed this madness on the part of Ryan. He was one of only 4 Republicans to do so. Bachmann and the rest supported making seniors pay more for medicine going forward in order to giver the wealthiest Americans more tax cuts. This is disgusting: http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/_news/20 … big-gamble

Ryan is a little twit who was pushed around in middle school and it shows. Twit.

My bigger concern right now is those under 55 already on medicare and medicaid for mental of physical disabilities, are they grandfatghered in or tossed to the wind?

Good for Ron Paul, the system we have of capatalism without regualrion of the rich is immoral.

Your statements about capitalism seem to illustrate that you're not familiar with Ron Paul's belief system.

What do the Americans who side with the Republicans expect?  They think the GOP will knock on Their doors and hand them a million dollar check?  I guess how Wanting the GOP to ax them is beyond all of my reasoning powers.  I do not understand why people vote for the freight train that will run over them.

Agreed.  The GOP is certainly not going to knock on doors handing anyone anything (except family and friends of course) as that would be socialism.

However, they will knock on your door to ensure that you're practicing the right religion and have the right sexual preference to ensure that you're doing the right thing.  Of course, "right" defined by their definition and the limited view from their box.

The GOP actually loves socialism as long as it's paying the "right" people and you have the "right" ideology.

It's rather disgusting, but what do I know.  I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, so I'm nuts.  Caring for others, celebrating our differences, and cherishing the right to be different, is actually embraced.  Wow!  What a novel idea ... dare I say a Christian ideal.

Of the course the GOP isn't handing anything out.

        Neither are the Democrats.

All that stuff is paid through theft. Government spending is NOT charity.

so very true, and don't forget the unemployed who pay taxes on their unemployment insurance while the rich get massive tax cuts to supposedly create jobs for those who are already employed.
The unemployed are the new group to discriminate against hiring.

America should be ashamed, deeply, of what the GOP is trying to pass off as necessary for 'all Americans.'

I was a bit curious as to why Ron Paul would be against a cut in spending.

So I looked up his argument about this:
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/04/1 … 47775.html

    ... and it makes sense.

One thing I noticed about Paul Ryan's budget is that it still gives a HUGE bonus to the Pentagon. I'm sure that this is one of the reasons why Ron opposes it.

You mean Ryancare doesn't share the sacrifice???

    I'm stunned.

Yeah--I just heard a blip...Paul says the bill doesn't go far enough!

So much for his presidential aspirations...

Can someone set me straight? All I hear is entitlements are bankrupting us,but? Social security  was apparently looted by our elected officials and given worthless IOU's.The boomers paid into this ,so have I for 30 years now.Pay everyone back what they put in and end it then.We seem to have the cash for everyone but us anyway. Now ,I just googled FICA and apparently that is for SS and medicare and everyone is also currently paying into this.So let's abolish something that our Govt. mishandled so we suffer, does that mean they will stop taking FICA out of my check? It's not a handout if we are paying into it.Don't tackle the fraud in the system either, over payments and bogus claims. I love this country that's why I'm so pissed.Tax breaks for the wealthy and corporate welfare is just fine ,let's tax the crap out of the poor slob making $15 an hour, why? they don't have the money to have a voice.

"they don't have the money to have a voice."

    There's your answer.
But google Bernie Sanders...he speaks for the little guy!

    and what's worse about FICA?

It only applies to income up to $103,000. After that, they don't pay it.

Income from $45,000--$102,999, you pay fica, fed and state.

Income from $103,000--5 mil, you pay fed and state

    Loopholes, excemptions, good lawyers.....it's rigged!
