The past 48 hours have been historic for America, because of the raid and remediation of Osama Bin Laden. It truly was a success for the Seal Team that conducted the mission. My question is: at what price?
The goal of Al Queda pn 9/11 was to strike our financial, military, and political centers (as we know, the latter did not happen because of heroic passengers), and to drive our country to the brink of bankruptcy. Shortly before the 2004 Presidential Election, a tape was released where bin Laden stated that for every Al Queda dollar spent to attack us, we in turn spent 1 million dollars in response. So 10 years and trillions of dollars later, who is really winning the war on terror?
Before responding, take a look at the attached transcript from 2004. It is chilling how this man baited the US into prepetual war.
