Palin's embarking on a bus tour that takes her from Washington, DC, to New Hampshire, that all-important early primary state. NBC's Domenico Montanaro looks at what it means, who it helps and benefits in the GOP field, and if it signals she's running for president.

Sarah Palin kicked off her "One Nation" bus tour today at the Rolling Thunder ride in Washington, DC.
"This is our first stop and we're very, very thankful to have such an event that is so worthwhile, so worthy and I appreciate being invited," Palin told NBC News outside the Pentagon before the bikes took off for the National Mall.
She joined thousands of motorcycles from across the country in the annual ride that draws attention to American veterans and missing troops.
Palin, who may run for president in 2012, received mixed reviews for participating in this years event because organizers say it is not meant to be a political event.
"We're here to honor our vets and remind Americans how extremely important it is to express our gratitude," Palin said when asked why she was at the event.
Her husband, Todd, and daughters Bristol and Piper also joined in the rally - all riding Harley Davidson bikes towards the front of the pack.

so is she or isn't she running for president in2012?..
She knows nothing at all about Viet Nam and what we went through during our service there. She has noting, and I mean nothing to do with that rally, the people we lost or the reasons for it.
She is a fake, a sham, a false profit, a Liar, a Bad actor in a very Ill Concived roll. She needs to leave it immediately.
She is nothing to us Vets. Never will be.
Our dead are not for her political aspirations, those men I flew out of there were not pawns for politics. They were living breathing men sacrificed for nothing!
I was there, that 2 bit Pig was no where to be found!
she has no place with us.
Dutch, what does she know something about? She talks like she had the same english tutor W had. Better check the green cards of every one employed in her new house out west, lol. I can not understand why this woman has so much support. None of her supporters can explain why they believe in her. They can offer no examples of her decision making ability and gloss over all the ethics violations that prompted her to leave office in the middle of her term.
One advantage is that presidential speeches and addresses would be included in her reality show on fox. No more interuptions to American Idol from then on. Amen
I misread the title of this thread.
I thought Sarah Palin had been kicked off her own bus!
There is absolutely nothing that Sarah Palin will not use to her own publicity-grubbing advantage. Please, please, stop the bus and let the rest of us get off!
PS. Dutchman, I'm very, very sorry this stirred up vivid memories for you. Thank you sincerely for your service.
I read it the same way! Isn't that something?
I can understand vets being teed off as well.
Mom, it did because we are being used, and thank you for your comment, it helped.
I flew Air rescue (Medic) out of Nha-Trang, a lot of downed pilots and US Marines, in that delta. I can see the feet hanging off the back of the stretchers still today. 121 Air Combat Missions between 68-69, and 1 Purple Heart. That wall to me is sacred ground.
We do not deserve a person like that at the lead of anything. She, if she was even half a Patriot would automaticly know where her place is.
I would love to tell her that face to face.

Word of the day seems to be MANDATE.As it, Obama's winning of a second term does not constitute a MANDATE.What does that mean?Does Obama have a mandate?Or does he not have a mandate?
