"Lenore Romney, Mitt's mom, won the Republican primary for U.S. Senator from Michigan in 1970, but lost the gen election. She was pro-choice."
Here you go Rick Santy-Bum. A gift to you from Me, LMC.
Here is your way to get rid of Mitt forever:
His mom liked to kill babies. There, over and done.
I won't charge you, since I got the info second-hand...but my goodness, it's on a silver platter for you!
Go get em, Rick!
It was all the rage to be pro-choice in the era of Roe v. Wade.
That tells us either Mrs. Romney is a woman of principles (party be damned) or she saw political advantage in espousing such a policy.
Don't know the woman and don't want to presume. However, ... IF the Romney apple doesn't fall far from the Romney tree (or vice versa), Mitt's mom is no doubt now expediently pro-life, anti universal health care and any/all previously opposite positions her son espouses today. Not because she believes any of these positions or even that her son should believe them.
Anything to help little Mitty win the election.
Actually, MM...people liked his dad too. He was Republican, but a friend to unions and working people!
I think his mom really WAS pro-choice....as was Mrs. Ford, remember? She marched for the ERA, even when her hubby was pres, and was against it!
What happened to the Republican women??
They have had their mammaries removed :-0
Do you know, it just struck me thinking about this...imagine, having to march for equal rights....for civil rights.... just to be considered equal....
No wonder these guys focus on abortion and religion and all that...
They have never had to march for any rights! It was always just handed to them.
Taken for granted.
wow....I can't even imagine it now! Imagine! Marching to be considered equal...and still we fight this.
I could cry.
And now we have a black guy as president--equal to them, who thinks women deserve equality....
THIS is why they hate him so much!
"Adelson's beef with Obama, he insists, is not personal, but instead over what he calls "socialist" policies aimed at redistributing wealth in America. According to Forbes, Adelson's net worth has leapt by $21.6 billion while Obama's been president—more than any other person in America."
My net worth hasn't leapt by anything remotely close to that during Obama's terms.
But I, too, am worried about redistributing it (paltry as it is).
I worry about greedy capitalists who are stealing from me -- insurance companies and mortgage companies top my list.
Well heck little missy...that's not redistribution, thats the Amurrican way!

Who is the best choice for the next U.S. President. Oprah, Trump, Mitt Romney, Hillary? Who then? This question presupposes that Barry O'bama will not be re-elected. But I believe he will be unless the opposition comes up with a blockbuster candidate like Oprah. Or maybe George...

Mitt Romney, the intellectually challenged religionist has thrown his hat in the ring. Obama must be secretly thrilled, and is now assured of a victory in 2012. This Mormon loon will make America a laughing stock simply by nominating as Pailin did.I'm glad that at least the election is now a...

Do you research candidates before voting? How could anyone vote for Romney or Obama?I wrote articles about a local Modesto mayoral election in 2012. Though I was on the first Google results page for the biggest search phrases on Google (and there weren't too many!), only a few dozen read the...

While Romney is to be commended for taking a bold course with the choice of Paul Ryan as his running mate on an otherwise bland candidacy, this course is fraught with risks of its own. Ryan is being portrayed as a fix it guy providing a clarion call to fiscal disaster unless his Plan is...

Can Mitt Romney beat Barack Obama in the next presidential election?Given that Romney is the front-runner, perhaps it's worth pondering.

I've always said that I didn't think Mitt would win in SC, and now Newt is ahead in the state in several polls. The GOP has gone so far to the right that they don't want a moderate. It just boggles my mind that any reasonable person could back Newt. If you think we have gridlock in Washington now,...
