"if the first black president only has one term, America reads that as a failure. This is what the right-wing hope and prays for"

In reality we hope that everyone gets a fair share in the work force, but the welfare president and his administration seem to be doing something a little different.

Let's just ignore that there was a recession :p.

The reason why Obama is referred to as the welfare or foodstamp president is because he took office during a major recession.Gee, go figure.

Onusonus, you use the word "we" to identify the "right wing."

But, just because you use that term to describe yourself does not mean that you are the same type of person with the same reasoning as others who identify themselves using the same political terms.

I know many "right wingers" (so they call themselves) who absolutely hate blacks, and can absolutely care less if they have any success at all.

You may be different......but there are many out there who would stand shoulder to shoulder with you who think something very different...

You are not "we" or "them"....

The ongoing misuse of the false term "welfare president" regarding Obama points to a lack of critical thinking skills...

Look at the previous 8 years.....and then notice the pattern...

"Keep playing the blame game.",---typical "conservative" response (not to say you would use it Onus), and this is a false argument raised by people who want others to put the same blinders on they are wearing...

Mike I can in deed use the term "we" because the majority of conservatives are not racists. If there are a few who don't like black people it is based on their own bias and not the philosophies of the political right.
You see, we conservatives believe that people of all races are created equal and therefore special interest groups should need no special treatment in order to get ahead in life. Racial equality has been the platform of the Republican party from it's very beginnings, and when ever a conservative tries to assert that, they get called racist despite the fact that it has nothing to do with race.

        I don't like Obama because he's a socialist, and he's a crappy leader. Not because he's black.

I don't like Sotomayor because she is a radical lefty. Not because of her Latino heritage.

I don't like Ginsberg because she hates the US Constitution. Not because she's a woman.

I don't like Eric holder because of operation fast and furious. Not because he has dark skin.

The list of liberal loons in office goes on and on, and their ideology is good for nothing better than the waste bin. I think it is such a wussie move to see such pathetic, radical, incompetents get race card coverage.

The left has lost the argument over whether a socialist President can run an economy.Well he can run it into the ground. If Obama had slashed unemployment, reduced the debt et would Maher have said what he did say?I saw someone posted on yt 2008;Vote for Obama to prove your not racist.2012;Vote against Obama to prove your not an idiot.

LOL.  Obama isn't a Socialist.  You might try learning what Socialism is before you call Obama a Socialist, and then claim he has proven Socialism doesn't work.

Socialism;govt owning the means of production for the good of the people.Norman Thomas said that Americans would never accept the term socialism,so he came up with the word liberalism as a softer sell.Increasing bailouts that lead to de-facto nationalisation of car company's,funding green business's that go bust 18 months later,Amtrak funding increases for railways that Americans don't use, opposing charter schools that outperform public schools.Yes,I certainly do see Obama trying to increase govt.

Government does not own the means of production.  Most of the economy is still privatized.

Furthermore, transportation is often seen as part of infrastructure, which is a public good, one of three market failures even the most right-wing economist assents to, and which the government has to step in to alleviate.  The others are negative externalities and information failures.  It's really not that complicated.

You need to give more information. Are these figures a percentage against white people or is there another graph that shows unemployment of white people that shows a direct correlation with black people unemployment?

Also, are you saying that Obama is insighting people not to employ black people?

I think your insinuation is ridiculous.

The left's plan is to simply label any and all opposition to Barack Obama as 'racist'.

That's actually quite a good plan, even if it is a blatant lie.

The only people that bring up President Obamas' race us right wing White People.
The person that uses the word "Race Card" is always some right wing white person.

The only race baiters I see or hear are right wing white people using the black RACE CARD to draw in more RACIST RIGHT WING WHITE PEOPLE into the Republican Party for political gain.

Liberals and Democrats are addressing real issues that effect peoples' lives.
Right Wingers have no legitimate issues to discuss, thats why all we hear from them is alot of race baiting nonsense.

I'm not sure if you heard it yet.  Right wingers are starting to play the "mushroom cloud if Obama is re-elected" card.  Today it was Romneys' wife; weeping and pleading with her husband to tell her "is it too late to bring our Country back Mitt?...Please tell me it's not to late Mitt! boo hoo hoo...

As a member of the left, there are some of us that do that.  The Civil Rights Act caused a permanent realignment of the South, away from the racist Democrats, and turned them all Republican.  There was also the Southern Strategy.

So, especially in the deep South, there are pockets of racism, and it is real and disgusting; however, I do agree that not everyone who is opposed to Obama is racist.

Some people are just conservative.  There's enough problems with the ideology itself to keep us all occupied without bringing race into the mix on EVERY single issue :p.

There are plenty of "pockets of racism" in the north, too. Big pockets. However, there has been considerable of improvement since the 1960s.

I think Bill Maher is truthful, and the truth hurts. He is liberal. But this country has no liberal party. Obama has been much more conservative than some of the promises he ran on. He kept the Bush tax cuts, he kept many of Bush's advisors, and on these forums, many people from Socialist countries keep trying to tell those who think Obama is a Socialist that they have no clue what Socialism is. And if I hear one more person complaining that Obama is "cheering about Bin Ladin" I will scream. Bush couldn't get him in 8 years, and killed so many innocent people. At least Obama has the sense to send in drones, and waits until he has info to act. This recession didn't happen overnight. Racism is everywhere, I don't think it's limited to one party. Although it's worse in the deep South, it's pretty bad in the North too. It's just kept quieter.

Yeah he was so decisive when he took 16 hours to decide weather or not to go in and kill Bin laden after his location was confirmed. And it was such a smooth transaction when he begged Iran for our top secret drone back.

Yeah there's secret racists all over the US and it's up to the liberal McCarthy party to find out who it is.

"The only people that bring up President Obamas' race (i)s right wing White People."

On the contrary, if Obama policies are opposed, sooner or later, someone on the left will say that it's only opposed because he's black.

That's the very definition of 'playing the race card'.
