   It means that when a person is lying to you - and doing it so badly that their disingenuous worthless words are an insult to your intelligence.
   
   What is harder is a liar who is comfortable telling lies with nonchalance & ease. Fortunately there are facial ticks that give them away but only is 80% accurate on the general popluation. The better you know the person the better it is to spot a lie.
   
   Learning the 'tells' works good for playing poker or when negotiating across the table.

   It means what you do is more important than what you say...because people only correspond when you do what you say...if it is otherwise..sorry, no one will take you serious.

   Agree with the others, what you do reflects who you are more than what you say.  Children model themselves on what they see their parents and adults around them do rather than what they say.
   Some peoples actions are the opposite of what they say.

   'Actions speak louder than words' is the equivalent to the phrase 'talk is cheap'. For me, I would much rather someone show me through their actions rather than to tell me. Lots of times, people say one thing but their actions speak something totally different; in the words of another phrase, 'the walk does not match the talk.'

   You can talk the talk, but can you walk the walk.  You can blab on and on about one thing or one standard of living, but it is HOW you live when nobody is looking (or you think nobody is looking) that tells the real truth.

    Words are only USED to EXPRESS actions; What one noun HAS DONE to another to ACHIEVE something. Because of this definition, the words or phrases to EXPRESS an action ARE and can only BE descriptions. Some can ARGUE its words that MOVE people, when in all actuality, the true power in those words COME from how those people ACT towards the argument the speaker has CONVEYED.

    Yes, I can.  Just listen to the political rhetoric and then read how the congressman, senator or statesperson voted.  Oftentimes, one would find that the rhetoric was simply to get the public vote while the politician voted his own conscience in the Senate or the House of Representatives.

    Its a true fact that "Action Speaks Louder than Words". Because, If we have to help someone, We will only be successful in our task, if we do something for them. It will never be done, if we goes on talking, how we will help them. Even, Its better to show our self with our acts, not with words.
