Why are we so caught up with doing everything that is bad for us?

Imperfection is a major problem but why do we spend so much time on demonic activities such as pornography, drug and alcohol addiction, idolatry and anything that we clearly know is against what Almighty God requires of us in his word the Bible?

It's human nature to seek pleasure in life.
Having said that the majority of people eventually settle down and don't let their impulses dictate their lives.
Watching too many "reality shows" "breaking news stories" and reading trash will convince anyone that "the whole world has gone mad!" The truth is there are over 7 Billion people on the planet and the vast majority of them don't live in the United States, they are not drug addicts, alcoholics or addicted to porn. Whether someone believes in god or not they know what is healthy or unhealthy for them. The average person works 40 hours a week, pays their bills, and provides for their kids. Naturally this is not the kind of story that would make the front page of any newspaper, lead off the evening news, or generate many comments in the gossip magazines. It is very unlikely that even 1 billion people out of the 7 billion people are leading self-distructive lives. Don't believe the hype!

    LifeAbundance,
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to talk with so many different people all over the world, due to my ministry. I love your optimistic attitude but I made this statement based on hundreds of people I have personally met throughout the years. Denial or ignorance does not cause these bad things to go away. Putting genuine faith in Almighty God and his word the Bible can help us avoid these type of bad things. Over the years, I have also cried and prayed for so many people because their loved ones were addicted to drugs, alcohol, or pornography. Many families have been torn apart because of these horrible problems. Unfortunately, these tribulations are a reality for others and not just something on television. Please try to be aware so that you can be there for your brother or sister in their time of need.

Many tears can be shed for all those who have taken their heartbreaking paths. I agree.
      Good luck in your journey.
