Can you share brief details of a surprise party that was thrown for you?
How did you feel?
Well, the first rule of the Surprise Party is secrecy and the second one is The less anyone talks, the less chance of the wrong people finding out. As the WWII saying goes: Loose lips sink ships hahaha jk .Anyway,Yes,My 31st birthday party,a friend of mine called me to come to his house. He said he needed me for something urgent. So I went but he shocked the hell out of me as I stepped in. It made me feel very special:)He was very nice:)
I was so surprised and pleased. I had no idea what my best friend had done.. I thought we were just having dinner and there sat all my friends. so much fun.. had a ball
Hello Lady_E , yes it is possible for me to make a brief statement. I enjoy brief statements. It is unfortunate so many people can not. I must share this with you I recently purchased a book printed in 1887 concerning the history of England, it was not treated well but the reading is spectacular.
Well, the fact that you could get hold of a book printed in 1887 is enough reason to have a party.... I know you're pulling my legs...
No, Lady_E I really do have this book. I make it a promise to myself to never lie it at all possible.
I just experienced this for the first time a couple of weeks ago. My wife led me to believe we were going to a restaurant to celebrate one of her friend's husband's birthday. Since it was the week before my birthday I didn't suspect a thing. We even stopped by Walgreens on the way to the restaurant to pick up a card for the guy. (nice touch). At any rate when we walked into the reserved room everyone said "Surprise!" It took a second or two for it to register that the party was for (me). I found myself smiling and laughing primarily because I couldn't believe I got fooled! All in all we had a great time.
I turned 60 and a friend got folks at work to show up.
Felt appreciated.
My girlfriend had setup a surprise birthday party a couple years back. It was done so well and I felt very much appreciated. Even my cousin from out of state had shown up.

Today I had a phone call at work from someone with a very familiar name and accent. It freaked me out till I realized I didn't actually know this person. What is a strange coincidence that has happened to you and surprised you?

Do you think it is good to have your spouse/partner to be your best friend as well?My late husband was my best friend, and so when my husband died, I lost my best friend too.
