What is ur opinion on the law recognizing polygamy marriage?
I laughed, when hearing Christian saying "legalization of gay marriage would leads to legalization of polygamy", because I think, if the imbalance between men and women surpass 1:2(happen In Russia and China now) lots of people would have no children to take care of them, when they get old, unless polygamy, is legal, but when men and women ratio is 1:1 polygamy is a bad thing, because it would increase the rate of people, that can't get married thus have no children to take care of them, when they are old. So, I support polygamy if men women ratio is 1:2 imbalance, if ur 1st spouse agree.
If everyone's in agreement and makes it work, who gives a damn...
People really need to learn to step outside their bubble and stop worrying about the dumbest things imaginable.
So what's most important to you? Hmm...let me guess, is it the economy?
I really hope you aren't trying to be sassy Fardmir. It would be a shame if there were people dense enough in the world that worried about having multiple marriage partners more than they're concerned about a failing economy.
I was right. The only thing Americans seem to be able to think about is the economy, and yet even though that so many people are bent on this you guys are still in three trillion debt...or nine trillion...or 15 trillion. Something like that, right?
Strawmanning aside, are you trying to say that between these 2 topics, being concerned about the economy is worse than not giving a damn if someone has more than one wife/husband?
If no one's told you before, you're quite random.
No, but to be honest, you've said "who gives a damn" about pretty much every single topic I've seen you answer. The economy is the most important thing in the world, right? Money is the best thing in world? Okay I understand you now.
Because any question I've answered that with are literally non issues.
You done embarrassing yourself with your strawman yet? You act as if you won a conversation on a topic you randomly brought up that actually is more important than polgamy lol.
Winning a conversation? I'm not trying to win anything. You're not supposed to win a conversation you're supposed to learn from it. I was simply stating that you believe that the economy is more important than most other issues
And I'm still at a lost as to why you think your allowed to state that about me and say it's correct.
Do you have any actual reasoning behind it, or are you going to continue with the strawman?
Does it directly to relate to me? No. Then should I have a say? No!
We have got to stop living in a world where it is deemed okay to tell consenting adults what they can and can't do with each other! Just because you (collectively) think it is not ok, does not mean you should have the right to tell another adult they can't do it.
I am so sick of living in a country of people who like to be micro managed!
And those same people are likely to complain that the government is taking away their rights that probably aren't rights rather than privileges...
Never a dull moment i guess.
When no looks out for one another, which is exactly what you have described,"Does it directly relate to me", is what you call anarchy. To be honest, you sound extremely selfish. Some people are starving in America. Doesn't concern you, right?
Are you really comparing blocking individual rights of marriage, to starvation? Hungry people impact everyone. It is our job to take care of each other, not dictate what they are allowed to do. Difference between making ppl do what we want & help
Individual rights of marriage? My question is: who decides what these rights are? A lot of so-called "rights" didn't exist 50 years ago.
You are right, 50 years ago we were still very bigoted nation. The way to improve that is to stop regulating, stop dictating. Easy way to set rights, is to let consenting adults make their own choices. Not your body, you shouldn't have a say. Simple!
Inheritance and divorce attorneys will rejoice at the growing demand for their services.
In reality, women's status suffers because he can keep her and add another - and Muslim and African societies with polygamy demonstrate that you get men at the top with more than one wife while those men on the bottom have no chance of a mate and greater odds of violence, including rape and murder.
We have already mutated marriage, so why not add parties to it. It seems like the next logical step after same sex marriage.
From the little I have read polygamy was largely introduced after war periods where there was a shortage of men to be in relationship to create the social unit-the family.
With the increased ratio of men to women in China because of their experimental one child policy, I can understand why they now need to introduce a multiple partners policy.
Some people are suited to poly styled relationships and I think they are maybe more tolerant or least possessive so it works for them. And for being the "bigger person? I certainly admire them for that. But for me personally? At this point in time? No I wouldn't like sharing my partner. I'm either "in or out". And I expect the same of my partner. Unless off course the relationship needs an urgent "lift" then each partner could consider a time out with a momentary partner. But here each partner needs to be in agreement with it.
Peter565 do you have personal experiences of polygamy? If so would be interested to know how you go about keeping insecurities at bay. Like do you have weekly kitchen discussions about how the relationship is fairing? Do you need "set rules"?
Ha ha, I am never married, so how would I have tried polygamy? Although women are more willing to share spouse and less interesting in having multiple husband, men are more interest in having multiple wife and less interest in sharing spouse.

What is your opinion on the issue of gay/lesbian relationships and gay marriage?

We all know it will be party-line loyalty for most voters. According to Pew Research, six percent of voters for the 2022 elections crossed party lines. For the mythical independent voter, it is a binary choice for the President. We are fortunate to be able to assess two Presidents based on criteria...
