well First start off by going some place that your interested in! Say if your interested in art then go to a center for arts. If its wine go to a wine testing and start a conversation with someone! "What do you think about this piece/wine?"
frequent places where you will find "friends" that have the same interest that you do. Right off the back you two will have something in common and then you can take it from there
