Be the one to decide what love means to you personally. Travel, experience, and retain your wisdom to a higher level then you will be content with yourself.
It's important to be confident in yourself - but not to be narcissistic. If you're checking yourself out in every mirror you come across and striking a pose you could probably go for being a little less into yourself.
I feel like you have to love yourself before you enter a relationship or you'll always feel you're inadequate and cant live up the that persons expectations. You'll always be trying to please them when you probably already do enough. You wont be happy... You have to be content with yourself in order to love and appreciate the other person.
