   All I've got to say is that when he turned 18 you were 7, that just seems kinda gross to me, but to each his own I guess. . .he definitely robbed the cradle though

   Whether or not age difference makes any difference at all depends entirely upon the individuals and their respective maturity levels. In some cases, age difference can break a deal solely because both people are in different parts of their lives and don't have much that they can relate to each other, and might be headed in different directions in life. That said, in many cases it just plain doesn't make a difference, and can be a definite benefit. My stepdaughter married her husband right out of high school, he was in his 30s and from a very different culture than her. However, despite these differences, they've now been happily married for 15 years and have three kids. I think that's some pretty good evidence that there's no issue in the sexual life either . For myself, I'm 24 and my husband will be 51 in September...the aforementioned stepdaughter is almost nine years older than me. The age difference hasn't made much difference to us except that there are a couple things he can't do with his bad knees, but other than that I've just gotten to reap the benefits of the extra time he's had to mature, acquire patience, and learn just how important putting energy into a relationship is. I won't go into details on the sexual side, but suffice to say I have absolutely no complaints, and am five months pregnant.

   My husband is 14 years older than me and it is the best relationship I have ever been in. The biggest problem is that other people don't tend to like it much.
