   Sex for me used to be all about power and control.   Hence, the question applies.  I did not realize at the time that it was part of an addiction.   I am grateful today that I can let that go - one day at a time.

   I daresay men like the thrill of the hunt, the conquest and the chase. The carrot and the stick are a fine way of both exerting control and heightening of desire.
   
   On a serious note: Only a weak partner would put up with it. If you have a headache, that's one thing, but I won't be treated like a 6 week old dog who has just discovered that rubbing my underside causes a curious warm feeling that tickles my stomach.
   
   Minimize sex -- sure. Don't feel like it recently -- I'll deal with it. Take  out the trash and I'll put on your favorite dress -- I'll write a hub instead.

   I dont know as I enjoy sex I would never use it like that as I would be depriving myself as well, so it seems a crazy thing to do when I think about it.

   I dont use sex as a punishment or reward. I think some men see sex as a prize and feel punished when they dont get it.

   That is done by women who have nothing else going for them.

   That's the only way to keep the uncontrollable dog under control. Think of a pet dog. Feed him when he obeys and hit him when he is disobedient. But if the dog ignores the reward and does what ever he wants like biting the master when he hits him and poops on the reward and keep on being good when he wants and bad when he wants...this will send the message to the master about who is in charge.
