The secret of true love is within you. When you know you're in love with a person, you don't need to hear it or know it from anyone else. No one tells you you're in true love. You do realize it yourself and when you do so, it becomes the most wonderful experience you've ever had.

    True love = sacrifice!

If you love someone deeply you will be willing to do that unthinkable for them, go beyond the call of duty for that person.

Give...without the expectation of Take  -when you truly love someone.

Unconditional love!  Being able to forgive without keeping count or record of wrong and being able to love someone through their ups and downs and no matter how they look at the time

For me the secret to true love was recognizing, understanding, and accepting it is not a person.

Before anyone can answer a question like that one must first establish what love or true love is in the mind of the person asking the question.

There may be some repetition here - but ultimately, acceptance, trust, honesty, and respect are the secrets of true love.

    Good luck!

Understanding and forgiving. When you love a person, anything done is always so beautiful. To keep the love on fire, one has to bring back the days of courtship. It is interesting to keep it alive as those days were the best.

hmmm  dont know if its as much a secret as it is common sense.
All the things that we are or should be taught as children growing up like: being honesty, compassionate, trustworthy, not to mention treating others with respect and kindness. And how about letting those we choose to allow into our lives know how wonderful they are,and how much they mean to us, then theres that thing called access to your inner most thoughts, dreams, feelings.
remember the little things mean the most!
I think love is wonderful. Its very hard to mistaken it for something else. The feeling of knowing that no matter what that special someone who you adore, adores you too! The way he or she makes your heart flitter just ever so slightly when you hear their voice. That feeling of "im home" when your eyes meet eachothers gaze. The warm sensation and feeling of safeness when you smell their scent. The way your body tingles when they simply touch your hand. That simple comfortableness that you feel when your cuddling. Love is the best thing ever, and even better when it is recipricated.

The secret of true love is that true love does not exist, at least where us humans are concerned.

Dogs are capable of true love. They love us unconditionally, whether we abandon them for hours at a time or discipline them or make them sleep outside (or at least off the bed and not next to us). They love us if we gain or lose 50 pounds, if we age 10 or 20 or 50 years, if we throw away their cherished chew toy.

Can we say the same for humans?

    Great question!

The secret of true love is not really secret at all. It's all about being willing to giving of ones self unconditionally.  What makes it a " secret " is that although simple in concept it is often times difficult in execution.

This kind of love plants a marvelous “seed” which continually produces a harvest of similarity in return.
The more you give it the more you receive it.

The great challenge is it must be done on purpose by a decision of the will and not only when emotional feelings are present.
